Re: Forum Rules
I'm not going to argue with you about this in a public forum, so let's leave it at that. Too late, you already did (argue). You're right. I should have said "I'm not going to argue with you any more ". Regardless, I apologize for my part in dragging this into the main forums. We're handling issues ...

Re: Let's hear your stories...
I met everyone but Kevin during the God Fixation tour. They were promoting this non-profit called Feed the Children, and they said that if you sponsored a child, the band would like to talk to you after the show, so that's what I did. I got to talk with Louie and John for a little bit and then ran i...

Re: Forum changes
Daniel - I don't think you've caused any serious problems. It seems like you may have acted wrongly in certain situations, but you rectified them and apologized and that's all that matters. You do a phenomenal job with the technical side of things, and for that, I think all of us owe you our gratitu...

Thank you for proving my point. Nothing I said degraded you, attacked your character or was an insult. I stated plain facts.executioner wrote:So you bring up something like this with a personal attack of your own?

Re: Five Iron Frenzy: Key to the Future of the Music Industr
I do not see why Classic Petra needs to take notes. Most of what you said reads as if you didn't even bother to look at what the links were talking about, but rather assumed what I was discussing and then went off on several rant tangents that have little coherence to the original point. One of the...

Re: Forum Rules
There will not be any heavy handed approach here and everyone will be allowed to give their opinions without any fear of getting suspended or banned unless there are personal attacks involved which in that case those will be dealt with privately with multiple warnings before any action takes place....

Re: The Petra Zone Forum Rules
My take: This wasn't about disagreeing with or not liking someone. At times, for certain mods, it has been. This person was abusive towards people THEY didn't happen to like or disagreed with, both in thread comments and by PM. I'm not arguing that the person in question shouldn't have been banned....

Re: Forum Rules
Swift justice? Growing resentment? I am a little perplexed to be honest. I know that last year I made a couple of honest (at least from my perspective) observations about the status of things here at the Zone. And, as someone who has been a part of this community since it was a listserv, I guess I ...

Re: The Petra Zone Forum Rules
The forum rules have been in the works for a year. Correction: I cam up with forum rules a year ago that, for some reason, were tossed aside. The rules that were posted here were written up 10 days before being posted. Honestly, I think you need to have fairly specific rules or no rules. Saying som...

Five Iron Frenzy: Key to the Future of the Music Industry?
I know the title is a bit hyperbolic, but the return of Five Iron Frenzy and how they are going about making a new album and touring is something I've never seen before. The following three articles discuss Five Iron Frenzy's comeback and how it is finding success despite the backing of a record lab...

Re: Republican choice?
The American dream is a guaranteed opportunity to be whatever you want to be and go as far as you want to go. Do a market study, find out who pays the kind of money you need to exist in your market, and then go get that job. It really is that simple. I was doing my best to avoid this place, but I f...

Re: The Rapture
No, it's not mentioned because Christians didn't believe in any kind of pre-mil model prior to the 1800s. Some of the creeds were in Latin, yet they don't discuss a pre-mil end times. As I said before, the above argument is irrelevant for several reasons, and is likely untrue. Except, it's not. Rec...

Re: The Rapture
Where is the proof that the pre trib rapture was never discussed? This is an insane question that doesn't make your case any better. Where is the evidence that it was ever discussed? You had previously pointed out that the trinity is not named in the Bible. This is true. However, we can go back to ...

Re: BTTR Part 2 and 3 Track List Speculation?
I think it would be an interesting strategy (and possibly boost interest) if they let fans vote on the songs they wanted to hear redone and then take the top 10-12 vote getters.

Re: Back To The Rock, cool.
Greg's solo version is just more of a pop version. It's good, but doesn't have the rock edge that the Petra version has. I'm still trying to hear where you all are hearing this "rock edge" you all are talking about. It sounds all pop too me. It's not pure pop, but it's not hard rock either. It's so...
