I don't much about him either. I do like his voice. I believe he did most of the vocals on Angelica's first album. I also see his name in the secular media on occassion. I'm assuming it is the same guy.
Mastedon is awesome stuff also, if you haven't found it already.

re: legit
This is definitely a legit email. There are plenty of news stories from CNN and other places pertaining the initial filing of lawsuits against paypal a few years ago. There are also stories pertaining the email which we are all receiving. As I understand it, you are only entitled to get something if...

re: music and ministry
about being in the world, but not of it... When Paul made that statement, the world of his day was, in many ways, different from the world today. He did plenty to try and be culturally relevent with his message, and to use methods which would work at that time. I personally believe that music can be...

re: stinky
I guess if their music stinks, they'll certainly get noticed a lot. Personally, I'll take stinky music from a ministry minded band, rather than good music from a band that doesn't give two craps about the people it plays for, as far as the spiritual aspect is concerned. Then again, I'l defin...

re:
Kutless is a fabulous band as well. I think, if they stick around a long time, they could carry the torch if Petra is no more. They have awesome lyrics like: "I'm not just a man, vastly lost in this world. Lost in the sea of faces. Your body's the bread, your blood is the wine. Cause you traded your...

top 100
if this new project is based on the previously published list of the top 100 songs, then I believe #1 was Friends by Michael W. If it is a new list, Mercy Me might be a contender to knock Michael out of the top slot. They were #1 in a recent top 500 here in central PA, that also featured 13 songs fr...

found this statement interesting
"But in the 70's, a sinister hand began planting a small, but deadly seed. And the walls began to crumble. And like a raging hurricane, rock began desecrating the sacred music of the church. In they came; Bill Gaither, the Imperials, Dallas Holmes, Randy Stonehill, Keith Greene, and others." When ha...

why not to vote for John Kerry
Let say first that if you don't like John Kerry, that doesn't automatically mean you have to like GWB. If you don't like what GWD believes and stands for, and the direction in which he chooses to lead the country, then he's not the guy for you. You shouldn't vote for Kerry because he is not a leader...

I'll take the guy who actually tells us what he will do.
I think we all get it that John and John have a vision, that they have a plan for Iraq, for the economy, the war on terror, etc.? But does anyone actually know what that is? :?:  All I've heard is I have a plan, big oil, haliburton, George Bush is a screw up. I think the truth is, they have p...

Creation 2004
Petra got a decent amount of time to play, which was good to see. They got a lot of songs in. I think the only thing missing from the above set list is that they did something after Jekyll & Hyde. They wanted to end with that song; John Schlitt said that, but they had more time so they ended with an...

allow me to modify my opinion on this
I read an interesting article which helped clarify my thinking on this. There are passages in Romans which indicate that one can develop an understanding of God and seek God based on God's creation having been revealed to them and based on their own conscience. If the gospel is brought to a remote p...

not quite right
That article seems a bit sketchy to me. The bible is clear on two points. One is that Jesus is the only way to heaven, as clearly stated in John. The other is that no man is without excuse. Romans is clear that everyone is accountable to God including those who are in place where the gospel has neve...

Creation East 2004; possibly on the net!
Anyone planning to catch Petra's set at Creation East this year? It's very possible that it will be available on the net also. Keep an eye on creationfest.com and acaza.com. As it gets closer to the festival they may announce that a live video feed will be carried on Acaza. Last year they did a live...

anybody going to see Petra at Pulsefest?
It's in South Bend, IN in august. You can get details from Pulsefm.com. Looks like an awesome lineup. Last time I was there it was free. You just had to get tickets either from a sponsor in the South Bend area or from the radio station. The lineup was not as big then and they still drew 40,000 peopl...
