Re: John on Guitar
I have a photo somewhere from Creation Festival '94, with John playing guitar. I think that was only the second or third time that I had seen Petra in concert at that point, so I didn't realize how unusual it was at the time. Still regret not seeing Guardian play that year at Creation!

Re: Back To The Rock track listing (your picks)
A lot of good suggestions here. There are only a few that I feel are absolutes:
Rose Colored Stained Glass Windows
Adonai
Road to Zion (even though it's not written by Petra)
Clean
Without Him We Can Do Nothing
It Is Finished

Re: God Fixation, for now?
Unfortunately, I have to say God Fixation is overrated if anyone says it's underrated! I'm a big Petra fan, but I only really like a couple of songs on that one. When it came out, I was looking for something that rocked. I didn't know I'd have to wait until J&H.

Re: Petra Wikipedia page project - Nearly done!
I would suggest "Creed". Petra was at the peak of their popularity at that point. I think it's the best song from Beyond Belief.

Re: What were your first favorite Christian Artisits?
I first remember hearing Stryper's To Hell with the Devil, Whitecross's Hammer and Nail, and Petra's BTTS. I think that Shakin' the House was the song that really hooked me on Petra. My first cassette tape that I bought was MWS The Project, followed by This Means War! Maybe this was a Maine show, bu...

Tony Palacios
Ok, this might be a stretch, but I'm going to try to make this into a Petra related question, sort of a three degrees of separation thing... Tony Palacios I believe mastered the J&H cd for Petra, or maybe it was the Farewell video. Tony Palacios was also the guitarist for one of my other favorite Ch...

Judas Kiss
I'd be interested to see if anyone on this board has any information on the back-masking which preceded Judas Kiss. When I was a teen, with the help of a friend we were able to listen to this in reverse to hear, "Why are you looking for the Devil, when you oughta be looking for the Lord." Does anyon...

Re: set list for Classic concert
When John came in he had to sing Gregs stuff, because they had to keep the tour going until they made a new album for John. For Greg to sing Johns stuff would not make sense, because Greg never sang those songs to begin with. The classic tour needs to only play the songs that they did back in the da...

Re: set list for Classic concert
I think this would be a great set list. I would replace Hollow Eyes with Adonai. Is there really a reason why they couldn't do any of the newer material? JS has sung a number of these pre Schlitt era tunes before. Why couldn't GXV sing songs from after his departure? I'm not suggesting a majority of...

Cassette
Thanks for the offer, but first I'm going to see if I can find it on CD, then if I can find it on a new cassette. If neither of those is an option that works out, I'd like to take you up on the offer.
Thanks,
PiedPiper

"Love" accompaniment Track
Hey all, I am looking for the accompaniment track for the song "Love" from the Beyond Belief album. Any ideas where I can find it? I tried Christianbook.com, no luck. I would prefer to find it on CD, but a new cassette would do. We'd like to have it sung at my upcoming wedding. Thanks for your help,...
