Re: Adonai
Any idea of which albums we can be sure he played on? Aside of More Power to Ya . Wake Up Call is pretty much all Louie. I think Revival is 100% Louie as well. I remember reading interviews at the time where he said it was his favorite album to work on because he did everything from the temp track ...

Re: Adonai
I'm surprised. I mean, I knew Louie didn't play in most of the early albums with JDB, but I didn't know that was something that continued on other albums as well. More often than not Louie wasn't on the albums over his Petra career. Really surprised by this, and even a bit disappointed. Not in Loui...

Re: David Lichens
He was mentioned in the PP2 credits. No guitars from him there either?

Re: David Lichens
I'm sorry to resuscitate this thread, but I was just wondering something about Lichens brief tenure with Petra. How long was it? Did he tour with the band for No Doubt? Did he record any guitars in the album?

Re: Petra Compete Tour list - help add missing dates.
I saw that a 1997 date in Puerto Rico was already mentioned, but that I know of, Petra has been in the island in two other times... I'm not sure about the date of one, but it was a Revival tour and featured Quinton Gibson, Bryce Bell, and Greg Bailey. Louie was still in the band as well. I think it ...

TOP 5 Beyond Belief Not of this World On Fire! Wake-Up Call Jekyll & Hyde BOTTOM 5 Back to the Street Washes Whiter Than Petra Double Take Petra Praise: The Rock Cries Out I don't consider any of their albums bad, though, but there are some I enjoy less than others. However, I own all of them and I...

Re: Adonai
Count me in as someone who loves Wake-up Call. I started listening to Petra in the 90's, with Beyond Belief and WUC, so maybe that factors in. But to this day, many of its songs are still among my favorites: "Midnight Oil", "Praying Man", "Sleeping Giant", "Just Reach Out" are all top songs.

Re: Never Say Dinosaur 2
The idea of the first Never Say Dinosaur was to put fresh, new bands/musicians to reinvent and play classic Petra songs, so I would probably go with fresher faces than Whitecross or Guardian. However, I'm not that familiar with new trends in Christian music so I don't know, lol. Skillet would be a ...

Re: Never Say Dinosaur 2
I didn't know NSD was so hated. If anything, I thought it was an interesting experiment. As a matter of fact, my first exposure to "Rose Colored Stained Glass Windows" was through Jars of Clay version. For what it's worth... I liked AudioA's "Taste and See", Galactic Cowboys' "Not of this World", Gr...

Re: Side Jobs
Last I read, Lonnie had moved back to his hometown of Bend, Oregon, and was working as a radio host. Bryce Bell is a touring musician, as far as I know. So is Quinton Gibson. Last I read, he was touring with Darius Rucker (Hootie & the Blowfish). Everybody knows John Slick works in the IT industry. ...

Re: Revival mix
I'm in the camp that likes Revival quite a bit. "Send Revival", "Oasis", "Prodigal Son", and "How Long" are all great songs that hit close to home for me. I also like how many songs are more introspective and reflective than they are cheerful. I might be grasping at straws, but I think it also refle...
