Who's with me?
Ever since God Fixation, I can't eat a pear without hearing John sing, "and I don't even like, pears that well." Anybody?

Re: Recommendations on Christian Rock
Nobody’s mentioned DC Talk, or Tait for that matter. Jesus Freak is one of the GOAT in Christian Rock.Steve Taylor’s Squint album and anything Newsboys, early Age of Faith (shout out to my buddy Jimi Ray), Sacred Heart if you can find it, Morgan Cryer, Steve Camp, Sheila Walsh, pre Lead Me On Amy Gr...

Re: How about another Schlitt project?!
I’m still holding out for another Petra album LoL. The long rumored, unrecorded follow up to Jekyll & Hyde. I am excited footprint all that John is getting into, though. God is really using him.

Re: I....had a dream
I had a dream Bob put a band together with Greg’s solo band and Morgan Cryer on vocals. They named their band Classic Xavier, did a cover of the entire “River is Rising” Cd, and named it “Back to the Exodus,” with a cover of “Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi, an original song by Morgan, and the Pet...

Re: Ever wonder?
The Elefante work was very cookie cutter, v1, Chris, v2, chorus, bridge, solo, repeat chorus. JDB did a bit more to me instrumentally. There was some great keyboard work by John Lawry on a lot of Elefante tracks (Whole World, Creed, In the Likeness of You), and the BGVs were powerful and defined (Jo...

Re: Ever wonder?
I lean more toward the Schlitt/dream team era, but the JDB stiff was really progressive imo. Examples: the Stand Up Keyboard/Drum/Guitar solo, Angel of Light in its whole was impressive, as was Chameleon, the whole NOTW album, the whole BTS album.... If these thongs were combined with the vocals of ...

Re: Louie BTTS
Was "I Will Call Upon The Lord" from Petra Praise an actual live track, or was that studio magic as well? The drums do not sound organic to me, but the crowd noise seems real, especially the singing. If so, did Louie play on that song?

Re: Stryper question
From what I've read, this situation turned pretty ugly. Please join me in praying for Tim and his wife, the band, and all involved. Hopefully the love of Jesus will prevail in this matter and bring peace,

Re: Stryper question
IDK, Brent. I couldn't see it happening in a million years, but Ronnie's style would be very interesting with Stryper. The stuff from On Fire! and Beyond Belief has a certain energy to it that could flow well with Stryper. He really shined on some of Petra's heavier tracks from that era, most notabl...

Re: Stryper question
I do remember James LoMenzo from White Lion was really close to the band. I don't know anything about him, but they used a session bassist on IGWT & THWTD (Brad Cobb, per Wikipedia). Who plays bass currently for Michael's solo band? That would be the most obvious choice, IMO. There's also always the...

Re: Bob Hartman Guitars
I would have loved to get a Petra33. Tried to make one with a pick guard I bought from Bob, but just ended up hanging it on my wall.
