Re: CPR

Ha. Was this about Dream On? Well.... I don't have a problem with the song being used. Songs are songs and if they can be used to make a point, then so be it. Christian songs have been sung by secular artists from time to time. Heck, secular artists used to put out "spiritual" or "sacred" music albu...

Re: CPR

Petra and it's various front men fit the times they were in, when they were considered new and cutting edge for the repressed Christians. For those who were seasoned secular music fans, Petra's stage show was cheese. Luckily, I don't pay attention or care much. I went to the shows to have my face me...

Re: Vynil's Comeback- Interesting

There are already subscription based services for high-res audio and physical media services. 1:1 copies of tape masters with tape machines have been sold to audiophiles for years. I don't think vinyl or tape is "it" for the masses, though some bands are releasing on cassette again. There will be so...

Re: Vynil's Comeback- Interesting

You aren't going to find many musicians happy with their touring revenue, labels, licensing and distribution deals wanting their music given away for free. I have heard musicians in successful bands (by today's standards) say youtube is killing them, because once people hear a new song, it is quickl...

Re: Live It Loud!

It's good. Needs to be twice as long or have guests do two-parters. Love details about connections, industry stuff. Would like it if they got more into the struggles and accomplishments back in the day. Over all, It's off to a good start.

Re: Vynil's Comeback- Interesting

It is a nostalgia thing. We probably won't see vinyl be accepted by the masses the way it is accepted by audiophiles, hipsters and tech nerds. Heck, vinyl has come and gone from some retailer shelves. People thought this was going to be a "thing" 10 years ago. It has been a slow build up. With distr...

Re: Theological advice from unlikely sources.

You are from the outside looking in. We are here. We live it. Your opinion is very different than ours because ours is based upon information gained by personal experience. We live things you don't understand. What sounds nice and tidy theoretically to you is one thing. What is reality here is not s...

Re: Sweet & Schlitt

I think Stryper should cover the top five Petra rock tunes and "Petra" should cover the top five Stryper ballads.

Re: Theological advice from unlikely sources.

Curt, no other country on planet earth gives more money to charity than the USA. The USA is the largest sender of missionaries to the world. The USA is the dominant maintainer of peace in the world. Like it or not, we already do more than everyone else. So, we take kindly to people telling us what i...

Re: Theological advice from unlikely sources.

By the way, I spoke into my phone while driving so if there are any spelling or grammatical errors, it is because my phone types with the speech impediment.

Re: Theological advice from unlikely sources.

Kurt, I only read the first paragraph and that's all I need to read from your post. You obviously are not from the United States, live in the United States, or work in the education system in the United States. My wife and daughters do. I can tell you that the immigration problem is adversely affect...

Re: Theological advice from unlikely sources.

So many people are saying we should do the Christian thing and let everyone in our life boat. I think "doing the Christian thing" is one dimensional. We are to do good by those wanting in and screw those already here. Sounds like history repeating itself.
