Re: John Schlitt's involvement

I just don't see Classic Petra as a real reunion unless David Lichens is somehow involved. He was instumental in the band's legacy.

Re: John Schlitt's involvement

I do wish John would acknowledge Classic Petra publicly. He's just such a large part of Petra's legacy. I can understand if his feelings are hurt a little, and I think others on the board should be as well. He has given a good portion of his life to this band. As Christians we are still human. He ha...

Re: New Classic Petra Update as of 7-23-10

Had to chime in on this one. I truely believe that if Greg X. Volz were to fabricate such a story, he'd choose a bigger band than REO Speedwagon. They were pretty big in the day, but I do not think they had the kind of impact on the secular music industry Petra had on the christian music industry. I...

Re: Best Petra Video

"Beyond Belief" was pretty cool, loved the whole "video album" concept, and that song was the best of the whole production. Always liked the "Destiny" video as well.

Re: Captured in Time & Space

I bought my Dad the DVD for Father's day. He was at the Greenville, SC show and he (as well as others from my youth group at the time) can be seen in the crowd. Love that CD!

Re: Double Take

I really disliked God Fixation at first, but now really appreciate the music now as my tastes grow musically. 8) I might have to revisit God Fixation myself. I have been listening to the word compilations, and the song "God Fixation" is pretty cool. That and "St. Augustine's Pears" are the only two...

Re: Louie's Legit Drumming?

Wake-Up call rocked! One song I really liked the drums on from Beyond Belief was "Armed and Dangerous." I know it was all programming, but that machine gun sounding snare at the beginning was way cool!

Re: Mylon LeFevre

At least a few of you aren't attacking me to bad, I guess what I like about his voice is the fact that it is a gritty sound and it did seem to fit well with the style that they were playing at the time. As far as me saying he was as good as John, that was just to ruffle some feathers. :P We all kno...

Re: URGENT PRAYER REQUEST...PLEASE!

I know what you mean, because I've been there myself! I was an assistant manager at a convienece store for a few years back in the '90's. I was about to go on vacation for a week, and I came into work for my last day when I was told by my manager my deposit was $500 short. Bad thing is, I filled out...

Re: Some Classic Petra

Bob Larson is a total jack of all a double s's. What a fraudulant captializing sensationalist. Take anything he says, even "The sky is blue" and doubt it, check it then forget it. I used to listen to his show on a local AM station when I was in high school. All he would do is be mean to callers (wh...

Re: Newsboys+Michael Tait = WIN!!!

I was under the impression that Michael was a "live only" gig myself until I heard this single. I couldn't be happier. I've really missed him since Tait went on hiatus. There first disc was great, but the second one was not as good, IMO. The Newsboys thing really compliments his voice very well. Pet...
