House of Bob

Hi all,

Just noticed Bob's site, www.houseofbob.com ]has been updated and looks great.

It has some news plus he's back into production on new guitars.

Sorry, no news of a late 80's Petra reunion.

II Guys in October

I saw on John's tour page a listing for him & Bob in October.

Is this accurate?

Petra Pot Roast

I wondered if they put the same effort in for Ronny and even Jonnie before he came on in 1984.

Star Trek

I went to it and thought it was a good movie. It may have not had the irreverence of the original series, but it was good action and a good story so they could go in a new direction. The canadian sci-fi shannel Space happenned to play all the previous movies last week. Although I was a big fan of TN...

John on TBN

I gotta say though, I was kinda shocked.

John looked bloated to me. I realize he's putting on a few pounds (and I'm an expert on that!), but I didn't think he looked well at all.

Stage Configuration

Is this when the band configuration on stage changed? Prior to this, every other concert I've seen of them, Bob was on the right and Ronny/Mark was on the left. Everything I've seen after Bob retired (initially) had the guitar on the left and bass on the right. Seperate Union had such a good observ...

I thought it should have been cooper.

But any picture I saw of him, his hair mas much shorter. I thought the colour was too light to be Lawry, but it looked like the right length.

Looking at it again, i did notice the arms. John had sticks, Jim's were thicker.

Praying Man Live

Here's a clip that I haven't seen before. It features what I believe would be the last tour with John L and Bob together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_mM7GzvxYI&feature=PlayList&p=34358922312D5E9C&playnext=1&index=2 . I would love to have the whole concert. A person can dream, can't they?[/code]

I think we all agree you're out of your mind.

However, your correct on this issue.

Petra Praise: The Rock Cries out

Listening to that lately and was wondering about the drums.

I know the Elfante's were more into drum machines then the real deal. However, on this record, produced by Lawry and Hartman, the drums sound more like Louie's style then a computer.

Does anyone know or have thoughts on this? :?:

Sweet. The only gigs they are booking for John are with heretic nut jobs that preach a false gospel, break the law, etc. I have been seeing many CCM bands on that nuts show too. So, I guess CCM doesn't care. I played the good guy, was positive about being on RS's Hour of Power. But this is where I ...

So he did.
And yet another reason to diss the Elfante's.

Ok, so I understand that "The Dream Team" era was when Petra was at their popularity pinnacle, but isn't the dream team supposed to be the best members? No knock on Ronnie, but I think he was one of the least talented bass players Petra ever had. Mark Kelley was better. Greg Bailey was better. Lonn...
