Re: Van Halen - Tattoo (Single)

Not sure about this "new" old VanHalen yet. What I am sure about is that I like the new Chickenfoot album with Sammy Hagar and Micheal Anthony. Nice solid rock groove, but the gayest lyrics ever known to man.
DLR's coolness level in this video is about the same as Bob Hope dressing as the Fonz.

Re: David and The Giants

I've always liked David and the Giants. That video was cool. However, as with anything on youtube, people can't just watch a video and take it for what it is without some religious poindexter getting bent out of shape about it. I'm refering to the comments under the video. Read em and weep, or shake...

Re: Petra in Venzuela

They should go back to mailing out "Battle Plan" twice a year. They fan base was huge back then and everyone was happy to get an update that covered the bare essentials.

Re: White Cross

Unvieled had some good stuff on it. I can't remeber who played guitar on that but it didn't have the attitude of the older stuff. I never could get into Flytrap. Rex Carroll has a new album out with his new band that sounds pretty good. I think Mike Fegan is drumming on it. It's real biker-bar type ...

Re: White Cross

I love the Album "In the Kingdom". They played some of the best blues/metal out there. I listen to stuff like "Good Enough" and "Tell Me the Time" and think to myself....too bad the day has come and gone where stuff like this was par for the course in the ccm market. Most of the stuff, especially on...

Re: Republican choice?

Sounds like a lot of work Brent. Wouldn't it be much easier to demand that the government take it from the rich to give it to me? Leave all this Capitalism business to the Micheal Moore's of the world who are motivated enough to compete in the market place. Wait a minute....that last part almost doe...

Re: Republican choice?

I didn't watch the 10th debate last night, but I saw the recaps about 250 times this morning on the news. I truly feel bad for Rick, but can't help but laugh at how rediculous it was. From what I hear from people living in Texas, he's doing a good job down there. It will be tough to overcome that br...

Re: Republican choice?

When it all shakes out, I will be surprised if Newt doesn't win the nomination. He's not my first choice. Whoever wins it, you can bet most of the media will be getting paid double time and a half to smear them. Even Hilary wasn't imune from these jackyls when she was running against the almighty Ob...

Re: NO DOUBT

I didn't like the album when it first came out, but it grew on me. I never thought it was a bad sounding album production wise. It had alot of hybrid drum stuff on it, loops as well as what I perceive to be real drumming, although replaced with sampled sounds. Enter In and Heart of a Hero are my fav...

Herman used his soon to be campaing slogan on the accuser, and she took it the wrong way......"Here I am, rock you like a Herman Cain."

Re: November 4th Show in Nashville, TN Poster on Facebook

That's a good poster. They did a better job of photoshopping in Louie in the 80's version than in the current one though.

Re: Dream Theater

Portnoy will have no problem finding work. He's a legend in his own right, and he knows it. I do enjoy his playing though and will check out his future projects.

No, the way you see it seems to be the way it is. You can tell that they are enjoying themselves. I think that maybe somebody might be alittle easier to work with than the other sombody.

Re: Dream Theater

Total awesomeness in Philly last night. DT played a 2 hr set with a mix of stuff from the new album, as well as a good mix of older stuff. Mike Mangini makes the drum parts look effortless. He's not nearly as animated as Portnoy, which doesn't bother me. A lot less "showboaty". He integrates himself...

Re: Guardian on Wax

I have it. I got it about ten years ago and still listen to it. Lots of variety, but my favorite is "Swamp Thing" and "She's a Lady" . I'd like to see Bob do something like this as well.
