Why would Jesus himself instruct us to pray for the forgiveness of our tresspasses, as we forgive the ones who tresspass against us, if we were not to ask for forgiveness? Why are we told how to live, so that our prayers would not be hindered? Why are we told how to live in church-life so that we c...

I don't think so. There is no chance to reconcile with God. Reconciliation is past and depends on God, not man. Col 1.21ff: 21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blamele...

Re: singers

Being from NJ, I guess I'm partial to anything good from the NY/NJ area. New Jersey is a little like Nazareth. Nothing good really comes out of it. (Sorry a little regional bias coming out. ;)) My dad used to opine that California was populated by people from New Jersey who couldn't hang on when Go...

I was sure you liked that song. I'm positively shocked. You should be ashamed.

I suppose I can give you points for creativity, but I'll take them away for all those Tim McGraw albums you keep in your iTunes.

So you admit that you really do want to marry a pop country singer! And you call me a masochist?

Every time you say that, I think of South Park. Regardless, it's mildly flattering that you have named me after your intended groom. If only I could sing as well as he could... Of course, I wouldn't want to be KICKED IN THE FACE either.

I like the Statler Brothers. "Countin' flowers on the wall" is basically the story of my life. Except that I didn't watch the shows they did. And I love the song about Randolph Scott. I used that to great effect in English papers in school. I'm not a troll anymore. And Char has ntohing else to reply...

Not only that, but Char loves pop country music. I heard her say she was going to marry Kenny Chesney once.

Char actually knows nothing about gospel or jazz.

Sorry to jump in again, but what is our purpose in life? Do we assess the risk and gain in everything we do? If you book a band only with the thought of profit and gain - then that is not ministry - that is business. I do not condemn business, but I am in ministry and look at things through a serio...

I probably don't need to say anything. I would post a picture of the sorts of things you send in the mail, but I would probably be banned from the zone for such obscenities. Have you seen Kansas? It's flat and treeless. There is lots of sky. And there is also Kansas City, which probably approximates...

Basically, we're trading steak and pie for doing Char a couple favors. There are enough favors to go around to get probably one steak and one pie apiece. The pie has to be pumpkin, however. You know, the real reason I am losing my hair is because God has graciously decided to let me agree with him o...

No, I would need hair to look like Jesus.

Mine seems to keep on falling out. Must be the side effect of that ridiculousness vortex. Char wishes she could be as awesome as I am. Would you trust the word of a prairie province backwater bumpkin over me?

Don't answer that. Unless the answer is no.
