Re: PFR

PFR was great. I wish they'd make some more music.

Lirpa Loof?

Wherefore art thou? I got a funny Redbox email today that they were hiring people to work inside the boxes.

Re: ***NEW STRYPER***

I have listened to Stryper since I was a teen, and I really liked NMHTP, but I really have a problem with them covering a song by Black Sabbath. When I was a kid, Ozzie was my definition of an evil dude, but now he's celebrated like a hero. Why does a Christian band need to cover secular tunes? I ha...

Re: Best John Schlitt performance on record.

Just my opinion, it's a really good album but Wake Up Call had too many male shouting/background/group voices in the songs for my taste to rank it the best of the era. It was almost like it had a male cheerleaders vibe to it in a few of the songs. I know it was very successful but I've never shook ...

Re: What music have you been listening to lately?

This is Not a Test - TobyMac, in preparation for seeing him at a fall concert. I haven't seen him since he was with DC Talk. I like the two Peter Furler albums as well, although, I can't really say I buy many albums at all now. It's all MP3s these days. Most of what I'm listening to are singles vs. ...

I've updated the name in my list. You know, getting old is better than the alternative.

I'm not sure. It was on Dan's list. I just assumed it was something I wasn't really familiar with.

Re: TOP 10 ALL TIME PETRA SONGS

Ok, so I was bored... I decided to take everyone's top 10 list and put them into a spreadsheet to determine the overall ranking. If the songs were in "no particular order" every song on that list was given a score of 5. Otherwise I used the score given. Every song that was mentioned once (with the e...

Re: Petra Compete Tour list - help add missing dates.

Here's a 1999 list I found, which I believe was the Greatest Hits tour... http://www.angelfire.com/mo/kirkman/pconcerts.html Without further ado, here is a list of Petra's concerts for 1999. More dates will probably be added later, so keep checking here for the latest info. This comes from the Greg ...

Re: Petra Tour History on Fan Sites ? ...

I would imagine that the Petra/Newsboys show at the Orpheum in Boston was Mar 26, 1993. The band's concerts in Bethlehem, PA, on Mar 20 and Binghamton, NY, on Mar 25 of that year both featured Petra, The Newsboys and Nicole C. Mullen, who, at the time, was simply going by her first name. I checked ...

Re: Petra Tour History on Fan Sites ? ...

I remember attending a concert in Maine that was a Greatest Hits tour. I'm not sure of the year, but it was in the 1998-2000 years. Orta was on guitars.
Also, my first concert was either 3/26/92 or 3/26/93 in Boston, MA at the Orpheum Theater with the "Not Ashamed" Newsboys opening.

Chrislam and Assemblies of God

Hey folks, I have family that live in Tennessee and they are talking about this expanding group of people in the South, often associated with the Austrailian Assemblies of God or the Hillsong United group, that are teaching about Chrislam. Does anyone have any insight into this? I've not heard much ...
