Re: Bob Hartman Guitars

Thanks, and they sound terrific.

The price for his most recent was $220, so I was worried a bit about quality, but assumed he wouldn't put out a cr@ppy product.

Bob Hartman Guitars

Hi All,

I know a few of you have bought custom guitars from Bob.

Are they decent practice guitars? Or is it more of an investment in memorabilia?

I'm not in a band or anything, so it would be for my own enjoyment.

+1.

Very odd they all chose to radically re-interpret the songs.

Re: Petra Compete Tour list - help add missing dates.

I remember a one day festival in Moncton, NB, Canada, in June of 1986. I'm not sure of it was the 15 or 22. I have a souvenier from then and will see if there's a date on it.

Things that make you feel old

Not sure, but watching CITS and knowing they are younger there than I am know, made me feel ancient. Or maybe their life seems much more glorious than mine.

I need a nap. :|

Re: THEY OWNED THE STAGE!!

I don't want to see anything out of bobs behind.

There are people that would like to see such a thing, and believe it doesn't stink
there's a joke in there somewhere about a guitarist and a G string, but I'm not that clever.
Now those are images I didn't need going into the week-end.

Re: What will you tolerate?

Here's an interesting point of view by Dan Haseltine of Jars Of Clay: http://danhaseltine.com/ That is interesting and something I need to re-read to see if I understand his direction. I don't believe in a "customized" faith, although I agree we can experience God differently. I agree with some of ...

Making of Back to the Street DVD

Just recently sat through it and its an interesting piece of memorabilia. Although it sounds it was for a kids project, the camera being used looked pretty big. The most interesting thing to me was a 10 minute segment in the studio. John E, John L and Mark were laying down background vocals. They we...

Re: DREAM TEAM REUNION ANNOUNCED...you read correctly

This particular person said he would not take direction from someone else
And if they had prior, not so good, experience under someone's umbrella, it's really understandable.

Something about twice burnt..?

Ray Comfort

Just wanted to get anyone's thought's on this evangelist.

He's very aggressive in his methods, but I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing. I am considering getting a book or 2 of his, but worry his true god is the greenback.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Greg era fans question

For me it was an easy adjustment. Truthfully, although BTTS is sometimes talked about as BTS part 2, I think they were worlds apart. BTTS was edgier, less techno-pop. I think the overall enjoyment of the album made it an easier transition. I was also fortunate enough to see that tour shortly after I...

Re: Petra Is Done

While I agree Petra was as much a ministry as entertainment, this ain't the Harlem Globetrotters. The success of the band was very much tied into the chemistry of the members and the individuals who related to the fans. I think history has already proven that their is no appetite from the fans for a...

While I may agree with PMAL's sentiments, this is still better than anyting on "Never Say Dinosaur"
