The Petra Zone

Last Daze is easily my favorite in this realm, with the rest of BB as well as On Fire coming up close. Of course, Angel of Light and Judas' Kiss are great too, but how can you compare so many different things? There were some great guitar parts on the self-titled too.

I've never even heard of him...

I could try to compile a group of what I consider the ideal musicians, but it would probably have:
1 guitarist
2 singers
8 keyboardists

or something, and none of them would actually work together.

From my current collection, I'd chose:
Crumbacher - Escape From the Fallen Planet!
Petra - This Means War!
Petra - Beat the System
Newsboys - Born Again
John Lawry - Media Alert

There would be lots I'd miss, though... so I don't plan on actually doing this

I was going to list my favorites, but... I couldn't single them out. Top ten favorite albums, maybe, but songs? There were over 200... I love pretty much all of Beat the System, On Fire, This Means War, Beyond Belief, and Back to the Street. That's about 50 favorites there

Lawry is "with the band" as much as he can be. Since they don't make studio albums anymore, that's as official as it gets.

As far as I know, this is Frank. With that in mind, maybe you are trying to be like him?

The fact that I never was able to go to a Petra concert makes me feel really young I wasn't even born until they were old news!

You can have morals without them being biblical morals. Outside of Christianity there are also Muslim morals, Buddhist morals, etc. But atheists embrace chance as the cause of their existence, and from that perspective you cannot have morals, because nature follows no external guidelines.

Law requires a basis; a "rule", by which meaning is "measured". In order for this rule to have any authority, it must be the author, or maker. Our creator is the same as our master. If the space aliens made us, then we should respect them. If nothing made us, then we should respect nothing; no rule ...

But then of course you wouldn't be offended by someone else's beliefs, because you wouldn't care. As long as it didn't get in the way of eating, drinking, and being merry, than you're fine with it. I guess maybe they were just saying that they were consistent in their not caring. At least they're no...

And finally, all this discussion, albeit interesting, has nothing to do with the fact that nothing good is achieved in this forum and in the grander scheme of Christian thinking by throwing a sharp snap at an atheist person for no reason whatsoever. Well I'm also an Atheist Petra fan - so I guess there's at least 2 ;p Hartman has penned some of the best riffs I've ever heard. Honestly if I only listened to stuff I agreed with I wouldn't listen to much (or learn much either) - and I respect the bands honesty and sticking to their guns in-spite ...
