Re: Houlton Concert

Bad news.

That show in Houlton has been cancelled.
I guess given our difficulties getting information from them, this shouldn't come as a huge shock. Kinda makes my decision for me, doesn't it?

However, Woodstock is right across the border from Houlton...

I haven't heard anything either. Although sadly, it looks like I may not be able to swing going to the concert anyway, due to a lack of $$$. Plus one of my other favourite bands, Sloan, are playing in Charlottetown a couple of days earlier and I want to go to that one too. If it did actually move to...

I'm hoping to make it over to Houlton from Charlottetown as well. Just have to grab some people to carpool with. I emailed the address for this show last week but haven't heard anything back yet. I was wondering about tickets, etc. Have you heard anything?

Yeah, my heart jumped when I saw that Maine show too. It'll be a 4.5 hour drive for me, but I never figured they'd make it this close.

Your Vision of a Farewell Set List

I got thinking about what I would do if I were coming up with the setlist for Petra's farewell tour. It would have to have a good representation from their whole catalogue. So I decided to see what I could come up with. To fit things in, I used a few medleys. And I have every album represented. Here...

Go On A Cruise With Petra - Seriously

Petra's got a gig on a cruise ship! I just found this article at http://www.jesusfreakhideout.com The music and fun are scheduled to set sail September 12th as Premier Christian Cruises' 'Music Boat 2005' takes to the high seas with a boat load of the biggest names in contemporary Christian music. W...

And I saw them once at Massey Hall back on the tail end of the Unseen Power tour. Hey I was there too! That was the only time I ever got to see Petra. I remember they had originally booked two shows and then added a third! I was up in the balcony at the second (Saturday) show looking down on Louie'...

Summing it up

I think Abraham Simpson summed Petra's situation up nicely. I could picture this comment coming from Bob's head re: CCM today.

"I used to be 'with it', but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary."

New songs

Here's a thought. We all know that Petra will not be releasing a new studio album. But I'm sure that they already have a handful of songs that they really like. So why don't they add some of their favourite new songs to the setlist of their farewell tour? That way they can share them with the fans w...

Question

I have a question for unoactu. Are you a real person, or just some kind of automated virus that resurrects year-old posts only to say "I agree with you"? That is the pretty much the same message of every single post that you make. Why do you do this?
