Re: Harry Ebbeson III Original Songs

Thank you, brother. That is my friend Michael James Facciani doing the vocals. He has a very good voice. It is a very big voice that works well for these songs. There is also a softer side to his voice as well, and I hope that we can explore that voice on more contemporary music in the future. The v...

Re: ABOUT THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

I am not sure if I would go to a reunion type show unless they featured music from the entire discography, to be honest. To accurately do that music, would they not need the members from each era to really pull it off? I've seen many reunion and variety type shows throughout my life and career as a ...

Happy Birthday, Mr. Schlitt :)

Thank you for your ministry in and out of Petra :) May God continue to bless your work for Him :)

If you are ever in the Dallas area, I love to jam with ya :)

Re: Poll: On Fire! (1988)

I remember my excitement when this album arrived when I was a teen. It was a "this is what I'm talkin about" moment. finally, I had some heavy Petra that would keep me from going to Bloodgood and Stryper and such for the heavy stuff. Not that it was a problem, but I always like Petra when they did t...

Re: Petra 40th Annviersary Legacy Bundle

I like what Brent said. Maybe it is too late. I do not think that they would be effectively marketed in this day. They would not have the relevance they once had and their managers would try the nostalgia thing all over again. Isn't that what Classic Petra was? There is no shame in retiring for good...

Re: Petra 40th Annviersary Legacy Bundle

Just to clarify, there wasn't a 'management team' or 'company'.... dpulse and Ovrtone was pretty much Dean Capone; he basically took the reins and came on board when Bob decided to re-group Petra in 2013. MusicwithHarry: This CD is a legitimate CD authorized by Bob; Dean did not 'steal' the music o...

Re: Poll: No Doubt (1995)

I thought this album was okay. We Hold Our hearts Out to You is probably my fav on the album; I did this in my band for a while and the crowd loved it. I like the rock stuff on this one too but it is different than the other rock from Petra I was used to. I know that they were still playing for the ...

Re: Web Browsers

I generally do not use any other browsers other than Opera. I've been using their browser for so long. I used it when you had to pay for it (of course, now it is free). I generally do not have any problems. It works so well for me and I really like it.

Re: Rank/Describe what music you bought in 2013

I do not recall buying any Christian music during 2013. That sounds bad, but I am stuck in the 80's with the bands I already like so there was not a need. I did get a few albums though: Emotional Fire - Sunstorm Nemesis - Stratovarius Infinite Stargaze - ColdSpell Out From the Cold - ColdSpell Of co...

Re: Poll: Not of this World (1983)

Here is another thing about Petra and their relevancy today. Maybe they will not released any more album stuff and maybe truly retire. Their music, which came from God, lives on and always will. I am sitting here doing homework for my BA in Ministry, and am listening to Not of This World (not the al...

Re: Poll: Petra Praise - The Rock Cries Out (1989)

I have two replies :) First, I was not that impressed with this album. I like the first song for sure, and I thought it was pretty heavy as a song. It sounded like something last minute though that was put on the album. I liked the song and the guitar solo was pretty neat and sounded different than ...

Re: Petra 40th Annviersary Legacy Bundle

I hate to say I told you so, but ALWAYS buy CDs DIRECT from the band's store, John's store, Bob's store, etc. That is the only way they are going to get what you want and support the artist directly. Any other way will have other people with their hands in Bob's and John's pockets. Yep :) Not only ...

Re: Petra 40th Annviersary Legacy Bundle

Should we maybe send messages to Bob and let him know about how his customer base and loyal fans feel? With business dealings like I've read this far about this bundle, I am going to wait until it all sorts out. I would think that it sounds like a repackaging of most of what I already have anyway ex...

Harry Ebbeson III Original Songs

Hey everyone :) I am a keyboardist and have released many albums throughout my career. My latest project is a little different though and features my original arrangements and songs that go underneath hymns and narratives with a singer up in Iowa. I recorded the music down here in Texas, sent the tr...

Re: Poll: Beat the System (1985)

Michael W. Smith used it a lot on The Big Picture album from around the same period. One of his greatest works. Although I think I'm partial to the live recording and video. I believe he was using a DX7 there. I remember the Korg M1 being a popular board back in the day. D&K used one. Oh just about...
