Re: Is this for real?
hmmm, almost like a supergroup from the past. Or maybe a Ringo's All Star band, with two bands? I'd go see it.

Re: Is this for real?
Very interesting. Is this the new album John was referring to in his last video message around Christmas 2015?

Re: Is this for real?
Yes this is confirmed and very real. It won't surprise me if you see other members of both bands join in from time to time.

Re: Is this for real?
If they were close, I would go, especially if Dann Huff were to show up. Then we could hear John Schlitt Wake record songs the right way.

Yes, for real. And no, this isn't the one John was talking about before Christmas.

Re: Is this for real?
I just watched that video again, and John clearly said he was working "on a new John Schlitt solo record." So we've got not 1 but 2 new projects with John singing lead?! Nice!sue d. wrote:Yes, for real. And no, this isn't the one John was talking about before Christmas.

Re: Is this for real?
So the press release doesn't mention anything about a drummer.

Who needs a drummer anyway? Perhaps John has a hidden talent...dihigo wrote:So the press release doesn't mention anything about a drummer.

Re: Is this for real?
This is... odd. Not something I ever would have expected, but I'm getting a little tired of the remakes and remixes. I'd rather see these guys do 100% new material.

Re: Is this for real?
If John is the only lead vocalist, it might be interesting to hear him sing White Heart tunes. Although, if I were going to put together a John Schlitt CCM covers record, I would have him cover some Bride.

Re: Is this for real?
This is pretty cool! Two of my favourite bands merged together. I like Tree 63 too. The sound clip takes some getting used to - hearing Billy's guitar with John's voice. Looking forward to it!
