I just mailed my order this morning, I'm looking forward to hearing the CD.

I also preordered Kainos' CD...It ships around April 26. It's Ryan's fault it's not being released until April and I have to wait for it, LOL. :P

Think of it as Heinz ketchup... it's so worth the wait!

But unlike Heinz ketchup, don't try to eat it on a burger or with fries. Personally, I don't advise eating a compact disc at all... but that's just me.

PS... We had a blast at the Atlanta Six flags show, playing between Pillar and Reliant K. To make sure it was memorable, our bassist and guitarist shanghaid a huge stuffed gorilla, we all signed it, and then we launched it into the crowd. Mayhem erupted, but they only had to call in six police officers...

Hahaha, gorillas and police officers? I definitely have to go to some of your shows. :)

Yeah, I'll try to control myself until my CD gets here.... :P

More Petra Than Petra

This GHF thing is so cool. Really, it's more Petra than Petra. From a certain point of view. After all, it was Greg Hough who started Petra in the first place. And here is 3/4 of orginal Petra. Compare that to seeing Petra in, say, 1998 with no original members. Granted, the original Petra is not the same Petra that really made the 'brand', if you will. But who's to say which lineup gets that credit. Bob, Greg, Louie, John Slick, Mark Kelly? Or Bob, Louie, John Lawry, John Schlitt, Ronny?

Off topic a bit, but here's a point to ponder. The lineup of John, Louie, Lonnie, Pete, Kevin lasted about as long as the early 80s lineup. But yet somehow their tenure in the band is only seen as temporary by many.

Now here's something else. Picture this lineup for a future incarnation of Petra: Bob Hartman, Greg Hough, John DeGroff, Bill Glover, John Schlitt. The best of both worlds. The originals plus John Schlitt. The Ultimate Petra.

Cool. I'll look forward to it...Hmm, I should be getting Project Damage Control pretty soon too and Kainos' Alive CD later this month. I'll have a lot of good stuff to listen to.

I didn't get your private message for some reason by the way, I don't understand why, but that's okay, I still know the CD's on the way.

I don't think so. With that line up, you'd really need to go get Greg back. I don't think John would really fit the style of the original Petra.
