How nice... John's "friend" has redirected both http://www.johnschlitt.com and http://www.petrafanclub.com to some lame eBay-related site. Fortunately I think http://www.JohnWSchlitt.com is pretty well established by now.

Those sites didn't exist any more.

Well, yeah, except that PetraFanClub.com is printed in the liner notes of a Petra CD or two, and of course what would someone looking for John's site type into their browser? They won't know about the "W" unless they Google him or something.

Don't mind me... I'm fussing about things I can't fix.

I know the feeling; it's hard to deal with people who behave like horse's behinds, I have a few of those in my own family. I was just under the impression they didn't exist any more.

Oh Shell, they exist all right - because our dear pal owned the domain names and decided to RENEW johnschlitt.com two weeks ago and then point it to garbage.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a body that controls Domain name registrations that you can apply to if you feel your name has been ripped off.

I'm sure Micheal knows the details, but at least on js.com, couldn't you & sue apply to have the name back (through John). I don't believe you need lawyers, just a good arguement. They could give john back his older site, and the same with Petra's(although management may have to take up that cause).

Second what Sam says. That is a shame though. It's another attack from the enemy trying to keep the message from getting out. He needs to go back where he belongs and leave these guys alone.

I think we could produce ample evidence to get the domain names back if John or Petra were interested. But I think John is happy enough with changing the domain name; from what Sue told me at the time of the switchover, I got the impression that he wasn't interested in fighting for it. I think Shell's right in that those sites "don't exist" any more, and I was annoyed but resigned to the fact that someone who once claimed to be on John and Petra's side was squatting on domain names that rightfully belong to John and Petra; the domain names just didn't work and we bought new ones. But now that he's pointed them at a site that is in his own interest it upsets me again.

Plus, the service he's advertising is something that I expect to be an annoyance to people browsing on eBay. I hope it flops, if just because I don't WANT to hear someone talking to me when I visit their eBay auction!

God's law of sowing and reaping will be evident here...Even if you aren't around to see it. People like that will hang themselves sooner or later.

Ya know Mike, when you put "what a rat" I thought "which one?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, we have too many rats in music industry so oops.

I tried the one without the "W", and I got the ebay thing you've been talking about. I didn't know there were 2 sites.

That's probably why John didn't want to fight for the site without the "W". I don't know, I would probably prefer the domain with the W over the one without. Seems more official sounding to me.

We talk a lot of crap about this guy. Has he spoken to anyone about what he's been doing? Obviously he's made a lot of people upset.

Maybe we get a lawyer. It would be soooooooo nice to see a face on TV the internet and cheackout lanes that is NOT the king of pop.

This isn't Wayne Seboa, if that's what you're thinking. I wouldn't say that Wayne is a "rat" at all. I might not always see eye to eye with him on things, but I don't think he has intentionally done anything to hurt Petra. But the guy who owns those domain names has. And yep, Sue has tried to talk to him, and so have I (on AOL IM). He was rude to me, although I was as polite as I could be. And once he found out I was working with Sue on John's Web site, he wouldn't talk to me any more.

Just reporting the facts.
