Nice Things to Say

Post by monster machine » Fri Oct 03, 2003 1:10 pm

Hey gang.

I just found out the board moved - much nicer than the old one, I must say!

I was just over at the Christian Metal Realm and there's a thread on the J&H CD. Lots of good things being said.

Does anyone know if any videos are gonna be shot for this album? Or maybe a documentary like Backstage Pass?

If you get angry at your spouse while getting dressed in the morning, does that make you a cross dresser?

Nice feedback from the fans there!

I think if they're gonna make a video, they need to hire me as their idea man. I've got some killer concepts...

But the best idea of all is a no-brainer: a life concert video. Oh wait, there's already one, and you can't buy it. Never mind.

video for JAH

Post by Michael » Fri Oct 03, 2003 2:48 pm

I emailed Inpop an idea months ago for a video of JAH that would be killer and also CHEAP to do. Steve Taylor had a song in the late 80's called "Svengali"; it was based on a classic novel about a hypnotist. So happens there have been a number of movie adaptations, one of which was an old black and white thing. They took the old movie, which I'm sure they got the rights for cheap or free if it had fallen into public domain, and edited it in with live footage of Steve for a pretty cool concept video.

There have been LOTS of movie adaptations of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Several really old ones. Steve Taylor still knows how to make films, and Peter and the Newsboys gang know him personally. A creepy video with weird old B&W footage would be perfect for the hard rock image they're working to project now.

I really want a concert type video. I've never been a big fan of a concept type setting.
