Looking at the cover, I looks like this album is going to be a heavy modern rock album!

The post has the tags: Casting Crowns, Lou Graham, Skillet, switchfoot so these guys must be involved too.

I wonder if one of the guys had a crack at doing the photo themselves because it is obvious Louie was pasted in the pic.

That's because Michael has written a blog entry as well and he mentions those artists as some of the few who are still musically and spiritually interesting. They probably don't have anything to do with the new recording. I doubt if these guys even know about classic Petra.

Hopefully there are some better pictures of the band on the rest of the artwork...

I like the cover, though. It makes quite a statement. They're reminiscing the flying guitars by putting some spaceships on the background, but unfortunately they don't really seem to be guitar-shaped. And the golden logo is cool (I'm still debating with myself if I like the inclusion of 'classic' or not). This sure raises expectations as far as the rock level of the music is concerned.

Yeah I think they need to do another photo for sure, like a pic in an aeroplane hanger like the back of Beyond Belief.

The cover art is awesome! and is very relevant for this lineup.

I love the cover. It would be cool if the spaceship looking things looked like guitar ships, through they do kind of resemble the shape of the one we saw on Captured in Time and Space, just without the neck.

Awesome! The Sword-Logo and the Fire-Guitar are excellent but they need to change those spaceships. We want Giant-Guitar-Spaceships like the More Power to Ya album... Is this a Hard Rock Album?

Looks like it could be heavy rock, but you can't judge a book by it's cover.

Mark Kelly is growing his hair long again looks good, he must be 50 something now, looks good for his age.

I am getting pumped, it's really going to happen!

The cover is definitely appropriate.

I don't think I like it. It looks like a video game cover. For some reason I was expecting the album cover to be solid black with the chrome sword logo from the home page of the site. I'm sure it will grow on me.

Finally, that logo is in decent enough resolution to make some good fan art.

A widescreen wallpaper I created.

If anyone wants to make their own, I have the logo clipped out and I can send you a psd. PM if you want.

Looks really cool. It reminds me of something that might have come out in the early 80's. I can't wait to hear it.

This is truly a classic Petra album cover.
I missed these types of cover concepts and only got them on compilation albums.
A perfect step in the right direction!
