I would like to welcome new members and those lurkers who post very infrequently, until now.

It's been relatively quiet up until the release of the latest cd.

We're a passionate bunch (which may lead to frequent, umm, difference of opinions), but all have been touched by the ministry of Petra ans still believe in any incarnation.

Hey new here, but been lurking since the 99 so pleased to have seen Classic Petra on the weekend was amazing to see these guys after 25+ years since I saw them. I am a big Greg X Volz fan, even over his solo career. I hope I can be a good contributer after all these years of lurking I am not one to talk really. Been a Fan since 77 when the band was in its early stages.. but still love the band, through all it's changes... GO PETRA!

I would like to formally intoduce myself, Ive been lurking around also and have posted some replies to certain things. My name is George and I am of Cypriot/Greek background and reside in Melbourne Australia. Im 37half yrs old and am divorced, not married again unfortunately or fortunately, posting.php?mode=reply&f=1&t=55963#depending on how you look at things.
I became a christian at the age of 14 in 1988, I went through a dark period after my divorce for a number of years and lived a sinful lifestyle until I came closer to the Lord again in 2004, and have desired Him ever since.
I have enjoyed listening to Petra's music since 89', from the period of my divorce and onwards, I listened to a different song, got involved with the wrong people and took some drugs and basically drifted away from the Lord. In 2004, I remember going over my CD collection and listening again to some Petra CD's that I had. The lyrics touched me, they reminded me of a time when I was close to the Lord and I felt a pulling at my heart come closer to God. This was the beginning of my return to the Lord again.

Hi All
I was a member of the Petrazone a number of years ago but life swallowed my participation on th Zone.
I have just rejoined the Zone and would love to catch up with you all.
I'm off to see Petra Classic in Toowoomba Australia and can't wait to see the Old Guys.This will be my first Petra Concert and i'm hanging out to see them and hopefully meet them in person.
I have been a Pethead since 1984 when my mum bought me Beat the System when i first became a christian then.
Anyway it is good to be back

I think you were like 17 (maybe 18) when I first started posting. Dang, muchacha, it is hard to believe it's been that long. You'll be 30 before you know it and officially over the hill (old). Hahaha.
