Rats, no one has yet heard anything definite about the Bogota concert? Maybe I can email their booking company???

Ok, emailed the H2O agency. Was told that the folks in Bogota never returned their contracts, and their email and other contact info isn't working. So it sounds like it won't be happening.

Wonder what it would take to get them to Ecuador... might be worth thinking about.

maybe there were communication problems (talking about language), and well, is a long distance, maybe documents were lost in mail I don`t know...geez. I`m sorry Micah .) but don`t get discourage, If I could meet John , I mean ME, is obvious you will meet Petra.

Oh Elo - don't be modest! You not only MET John, but you ate supper and lunch with him - a couple of times, in 2001 and 2003.

Now THAT is an answered prayer - and then some!

Doesn't the Lord say that he will give you even MORE than you ask for?

Wish I had been there in 2001, but I got to have lunch and dinner with John and a bunch of other cool people last summer too.

Elo, how did you manage all that?

Maybe I should talk to someone with experience setting up concerts in Ecuador. Might be worth praying about. I know a lot of people here like them. If we could get a conert in Quito and another in Guayaquil, most of the costs could be shared, right?

I got to talk to Penny Weaver on Sam's cell phone, does that make me almost as cool as Elo? Even though Penny was the one who was using Sam's cell phone??

(Of course, I'll NEVER be as cool as Sam and Warren... they've slept in Louie's house!!)

I fed John way back in the fried hair and spandex days!! He was the one who made me a coffee finatic!! He was like ...try this coffee...and was like....ok!! I won't turn coffee from JOHN SCHLITT!!
Your stories are pretty good too....LOL I guess:)

Warren is becoming a fan! While they were here we booked 5 shows...and he knows his Petra atleast! He can rock w/ the best of them! He sings backup w/ Sam on all the Original stuff and Petra stuff too! You all ought to hear him on "Because You Are"...one of Sam's original tunes.....he can growl like a rock star!!:)

BTW...if you guys would like to book a concert for a festival, church or fair let me know! email me at [email protected] ...I would love to do it for you! Also to hear clips of Sams stuff go to www.samscales.com! she has a awesome stage presence live... her stuff has a really cool vibe about it...and if you like the last Petra album you will dig it! The girl can ROCK!!!!!

hey, yeah, I know sam is awesome, you can tell she is really worshipping the Lord ya know, not just singing.

I haven`t hear Warren and I really can`t wait for it.

Way back when in the early 90's my parents owned a restauruant that was very famous for burgers. The area where the restaurant was very near Church on the Move...who produced many christian videos including "Gospel Bill" and "Fire by Night"...which Petra appeared on many times. So my parents had agreed to do few tapings in the restaurant for "Fire by Night". That night I was there milling around talking to the people from the show and then....the Holy spiirit prompted me to start talking to a guy who I had not met...which wasn't all that strange...except the Holy Spirit told me to mention the band Petra!!! I was like...ok...Yes Lord...whatever! I told this man about how much I loved the band and how I loved them ever since 88 when they came to Tulsa to do the "ON Fire" Video Event! Well....Little did I know that the man I was talking to was Stephen Yake the Producer of That video and any other Petra video you can name!!! He was getting ready to do another Video and said well guess what.." I am getting ready to produce another Petra Video called "Backstage Pass"!" I almost callapsed RIGHT THERE! I mean...it ws so wierd how it all happened...then I told him about how my dad did not only cook Burgers and steaks...but he also was a President caterer at the Convention center here in the 70's and 80's!! He catered for Kansas , Lynard Skynard, Ozzie Osbourne (that's a whole nother story)! So I said how about my dad do the catering for the video shoot and we was like....Yeah DUH!

The night came to shoot the video....it was a cold February night! We got there early to set up! Then I saw Louie and I about passed out...then I saw Ronny and then I saw Bob...and was getting really nervous...cause I knew I would have to fed these guys!! The menu was like Fillet mignon and twice baked potatoes....snotty food...which they had never had on the road! They were extatic! My dad was so impressed with guys that he decided to do the whole thing free of charge!! It was an honor for us. So as the night wore on....there was NO food left just coffee! It was 1AM and I said I am cold and tired that's when JS said....here try this coffee...it is SOOO good! I said I have never had it!! He chuckeled and said here try it!! I said hey it's not half bad...although I dumped a ton of sugar and milk in it..as I still do today!:) So there you have it!!!

If it weren't for that story...I would have never shared it on the Guide to Petra...I would have never e-mailed michael...and he would have never e-mailed me....and I would not have decided after many e-mails to meet him! I did not even realize he was in the same town I was...He is origiannly a cajun boy from Louisiana!! So how was I to know!?? Then we get married...have a son (mikey) and NOW we attend Church on the Move! The church that started it all!!!:) LOL

Like my story...sorry it wss so long! It's too hard to shorten:)!

Ah yes... my marriage is based on burgers and coffee. Now you all know why the two of us have such an interesting relationship.
