The Petra Zone

I remember reading that DC talk and newsboys was warm up acts for Petra in the early 90s. But who have they shared the stage with? Could be interesting to hear about both one night stage sharing (festivals etc.) but especially who they toured with??

ISTR a show with Rez Band (C'stone '90, maybe? I wasn't there, but heard about it.) When I saw Petra on the Farewell tour, there was a semi-local band called F.O.G. that opened the show (and provided backline, as (IIRC) Petra's backline was already en route to Mexico or somewhere, followed by GHF, an original-band reunion set, and then the Farewell set.

Servant, Russ Taff, Leslie Phillips (now Sam Phillips), & Steve Taylor are all I can think of off the top of my head.

Geoff Moore, D&K, Guardian, Newsboys, David & The Giants. These are a few that have yet to be named.

Were those tours or just single concerts?

Petra Praise II tour they toured with Shaded Red, Tammy Trent, and John Cox.

I'm thinking we were at the same shows since we were both living in the Houston Area at the time. I saw Petra twice on the Back To The Street Tour, once with D&K and another time at Astroworld.
The Geoff Moore show was a rescheduled show because of a hurricane on the TMW Tour, and it was right before On Fire! was released they played All Fired Up and First Love at that show.

F.O.G.(Friends of God) was a good opening band, got to meet and talk to them, great bunch of guys.

When I saw them on the Beat the System tour Randy Stonehill opened for them.

I think when Petra was on stage for Farmaid 1993 was Neil Diamond on before or after them??

Whiteheart toured with them in 1996 Saltbox tour.
