Post by 2godbglory » Wed Jan 02, 2013 7:51 pm

What is the best compilation album(s) out there? I have been looking around because sadly ,my petra stuff (cassettes) I no longer have.... I am looking for something that covers all styles from the beginning, what would you guys recommend? And of course I am looking for the most music for the best price....

If you want one compilation that covers everything from 1972-to retirement then that is easy

This is actually the only compilation album that the band had any influence on. Bob selected the songs for this double album himself and wrote some liner notes. And the good thing is that this covers their entire career with songs released on Myrrh Records, Star Song Records, Dayspring/Word Records and Inpop Records. So if you'd want a compilation album, then this is the one to get!

Uhhh, no. It doesn't have any songs from the God Fixation or Revival albums.

They could have put one song from each of those albums on there..."St. Augustine's Pears" or "If I Had To Die For Someone" from God Fixation, and "Send Revival (Start With Me)" or "The Noise We Make" from Revival. It makes it look like the band disregards those particular albums.

You're right. Apparently Bob thought these songs were not good/successful enough to make the cut for this album.
