I wouldn't stand too close to him on that night... Lightning arcs, you know!

Ha. Can you imagine the look on John's and Bob's faces ad they do a double take? "What? Wait! Is that...?"

I think his words (JOHN) would be - Oh Lord, not another one!

Just had a chance to sit down and watch this...Excellent drumming there. 8)

All the Petra drummers have brought their own unique style and personality to the group; they have all made great contributions. It pretty much boils down to personal preference. Just my take.

Look, I'll just say this. Cristian is a great drummer, and that's coming from another drummer. But I will say as a Petra fan I am still not sure what to think about Louie not touring on the 40th Anniversary. After watching his heart felt interview on the Back to the Rock Live DVD, This is the 40th Anniversary and Louie has a lot more years and credits under his belt than shall I say John W Schlitt, if anyone deserves to be on this tour and celebrate it's Louie. I know what it is like to be booted out of a band that you worked so hard for and grown spiritually in.

With that said, Cristian Borneo my friend, you're a great drummer, and you have a wonderful opportunity to shine and I hope you succeed with this tour, I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to offer to all the hits of Petra. Looking forward to seeing you on stage with Bob and John. Good luck and God Bless You with this chance of a life time.

My take on it is that if Bob wanted Louie on this tour, he would be there.

Now wait....it's one thing to be booted. It's another thing to create a situation requiring termination.

I don't know who is running what, Bob or John. It doesn't matter.

Very few bands remain original. It's a fact of life. If you are the type that can not accept replacement players then good luck enjoying any live music. Oh yeah, remember that a lot of times the players you see live is not the same as those on the album.

It's been awhile since we had one of these discussions...It was probably about time for another. :P

Bands go through changes all the time. That does happen. Just sayin'.

Some bands are probably better off that they aren't all original.

As far as I have heard your assessment is correct St. Augustine. The players on this tour were handpicked by Bob, plus Bob wanted John Lawry full time for this and Mark Kelly on some dates, but Lawry's plate is completely full and I'm not sure why Mark Kelly is not there(probably scheduling). As for the other former Petra members the only other one I've heard anything about is that Paul Simmons was first choice for the drums but declined because of scheduling.

My post wasn't made to re-start another discussion on Louie. It was my opinion, however un-informed it may be, as a Petra fan I was just expressing that it's to bad we can't have Louie as part of an Anniversary line up. But I understand all about the ins and outs of bands, heck I'm with three bands and I'm not an original member of any one of them, although one of them I've been with for almost 26 years so I understand putting your life into something and couldn't imagine what it would be to have it all pulled away and having someone say "Thanks for your service" and that be it (not saying that is what happened, just making a comment).

Is Louie a perfect Angel? are any of us? No! Louie is Louie, Louie-Louie Louie-Louie ..watch me now, watch me now hey

Oh, I know, Bakes. I was merely pulling your leg, as I am wont to do on occasion... :P

edited to add, I wasn't even speaking of you specifically.
