Head East Song in Grown Ups 2 Trailer

Post by BriGuyPEI » Fri Jun 14, 2013 6:34 pm

Anybody else notice that the Head East song Since You've Been Gone is featured in the trailer for Grown Ups 2? It starts around the 48 second mark and continues until around 1:08.

Do you have a link to the trailer? I'm not familiar with that movie.

It's the original artists Rainbow not Head East.

Kelly Clarkson, bro. But I could understand the confusion.

I didn't post the link to the video because some of the trailer content is questionable. I've already ignited enough controversy on this board recent by linking to another video with "questionable" content.

Who is giving you a hard time? You can post what you like as long as it is on youtube, then it becomes youtubes problem.

Actually the original artist was Russ Ballard from his album Winning. The band Clout was the first to cover it in 1977 and Head East followed it in 1978. Rainbow was third in 1979. HE's version actually charted better than Rainbow's as well but Rainbow's seems to be more popular. I heard HE's first so, by default, it's my fave!

Interesting I always assumed it was written by Russ Ballard for Rainbow as the Rainbow version is all you ever hear on the radio.
