I don't think I've heard John hit those notes since Back to The Street.

WOW.

I'll have more thoughts later I'm sure, but at first listen... I'm just blown away. Fantastic work, John and crew.
Yeah, John must have had his Unseen Power jeans on for the Hallelujah Chorus recording sessions.

I wonder how many takes it took to get it the way he wanted it? I bet his face was sunburn red when he got done. BTW really a great album, its really growing on me; I'm not a huge Christmas song type of person but I could listen to this every season and be happy.

John's version of "What Child is This" is simply beautiful. John has mastered that type of vocal with the gritty but smooth ballad; example is "The Gift" from TGC.

I really enjoy this album!

Top tracks: Hallelujah chorus. Sounds like a rock'n'roll musical. I hear Johns voice everywhere ;)
Drummer boy. Really nice version av that song. Great voice!
Three kings.

Thank you for a great Christmas album!

My understanding it was a finalist, but got cut at the last minute for "The Spirit of Christmas" BTW the only song on the album I do not care for.

I have to mention that I love Mark Hill's bass playing on this album. I hope that John continues to work with him in the future.

Ditto above on The Spirit of Christmas. Sounds more Rod Stewart than John Schlitt.

So far I think my favourite is Do You Hear What I Hear?

Oh, and someone should have told John and Dan that "laud" is pronounced "lawd", not "loud".

One other thing: every time I listen to Hallelujah Chorus, I can't help but picture one of those houses with the flashing Christmas lights timed to music. There's one near where I live and I'm thinking of sending him the song. It would be epic. I can picture the whole thing in my head.

I've now ruined the song for all of you, haven't I?

I heard that right away too... ah well. Blame it on a southern accent? Naw....
