The Petra Zone

I just listened to some clips on spotify of the live "Classic Petra"...was this mixed wrong or was Louie way off on the drums? It's too hard to listen to it... actually, dare I say, it HURTS to listen to it.

It must be a spotify problem because the mix is perfect. Nothing wrong at all.

What are you hearing? Are you saying Louie is not playing well? Because, the mix does not affect the timing or the performance of the player. They played to tracks when they did the taping. There were two mix versions. The second one had more of the live performance and ambient crowd noise. Both versions make use of lots of backing tracks.

I have heard it on Spotify and it sounds alright to me. I am curious as to what you are hearing.

Wow this is so strange. I just downloaded spotify to my phone and listened and it sounds nearly perfect. It must have been spotify for pc. It was like the drums were off by a 1/3 of a second. What could cause that? So bizarre.

I don't see how that's even technically possible. It's just ones and zeros. Everything should be getting to your computer at the same time. It's not like the drum track is being streamed separately.

It was likely a phasing issue. I doubt the drums were the only thing effected.

I've had it happen on Rhapsody before and it is weird.

Is there anyway you could capture the problem? I would love to hear sync issue.

When it happened on Rhapsody I was listening to a Bob Dylan album. It seems to be random when it does happen. For the record it was Unplugged album and it only happened once.
