Adrenaline with John Schlitt finally out on DVD

Haven't seen it yet, but this the film that video for "Take Me Home" was made for. It's finally out on DVD. I think it features John as an actor in some kind of small role. I'm not sure if the video is included on the DVD.

It has a 4.3 score at imdb at the moment, so that's a bit of a bummer.

Gods not Dead was an awesome film. Not sure what the secular world would think of that movie, I don't know any non-believers that saw it. My wife and kids thought it was great, good storyline, not predictable at all and very good acting. I have done some independent film making myself so I'm usually critical of all films, but this one was good.

Looking forward to seeing Adrenaline, I also hope it hits Netflix.

Christian films rarely score highly at IMDB, partly because it's a knee-jerk reaction to the Christian label and partly because they're generally not very good when compared to mainstream Hollywood (smaller budgets, no-name actors, low production values, etc.).

Yep. Christian = corny.

My eyes are still freaked out from all of the Nicolas Cage version of Left Behind. Boy, that was terrible.

My review is the exact opposite of rlester. For me it was a really bad movie, one with some so so acting, which is a huge plus for most Christian themed movies. I like the NB, but their part may have been the worst part of the movie. Blue Like Jazz is the best religious themed movie I have seen that was not made by the pros.

Terrible, and leagues better than the Kirk Cameron version. Even with decent budgets and better production values Christian film makers struggle with good storytelling, casting, and character development.

The God's Not Dead move was good in my opinion. I think it's especially good for students in or about to go into a university setting. Secular universities are bent on being anti-Christian.

Because they try to be preachy and evangelistic instead of just telling a story within a Christian framework. I remember one film where a character started going into Simon Greenleaf's defense of the gospel writers and Dr. Gary Habermas' Minimal Facts Thesis, which are great arguments for Christianity but come across as hamhanded when shoehorned into a movie script. They would work much better as a part of a documentary, but those generally aren't high on people's "must see" lists.

Personally, I would consider Fury starring Brad Pitt and Shai Labeouf to be an example of a great Christian movie even though the movie itself wasn't overtly Christian. It was an action packed war film that subtly explored the importance of morality and faith during times of suffering and distress. The writer and director is a Christian filmmaker, and Shai Labeouf played one of the rare instances of a sympathetic Christian character in a Hollywood film.

This is an excellent movie... it's BELIEVABLE. The actors come across as real people, and the action with the cars and races IS real.

I know a lot of Christian movies tend to be preachy, on the contrived side - not this one. The Christian aspect is there - but not in your face.

Yes, John Schlitt's in there as well - he's the race car driver who's back to reclaim his title, racing against the movie's main character.

John's still rocking the long hair, I see. I'm jealous. I had to give up that look about a decade ago when I started going bald on top.

The beginning of the end came when my wife suggested that I looked like Krusty the Clown from The Simpsons, and to be fair, she had a point: I had poofy hair on the sides and a rapidly expanding bald patch in the middle. But there are times I do miss the long hair.
