“Rise Up”
Written by Billy Smiley and Jason Fowler

Let the light shine on my face as we rise up to a brand new day.
I can see clearly there is hope. There is hope.
It’s been a mystery to me where I am and where I’ll be.
The day you opened up my eyes. I’m alive.

(Chorus)
Rise up, and rise up again.
Oh, let the journey begin.
Rise up, and rise up again.
It’s time to let the love in.

I’ve been calling you in life to fill this empty space inside.
You are the way, the truth, the life bringing me to my father.
You’re everything I need to fill me up and make me see.
The day you opened up my eyes to shine.

(Chorus)

(Guitar solo)

One! One! We can be one together forever.
One! One! We can be one together forever.

(Chorus)

Oh, let the journey begin.
Oh, let the journey begin.
Oh, let the journey begin.
Oh, let the journey begin.

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

“Brother to Brother”
Written by Billy Smiley and John Schlitt

This cause it’s right for you.
You’re made for it
To see it through.
Do you have the strength
To journey on,
To walk the walk,
And see it done?
And it’s up to us
To bring it on.
Gone are the days we sit around.
The time is now.

(Chorus)
From a man who has loved through many years
To the one who will face uncertain fears,
We stand,
Brother to brother.
Arm-in-arm,
hand-in-hand,
We raise a flag across the land.
We will make a change…a change,
Brother to brother.

It’s a dream that we can make.
Can you feel it now?
It’s gonna take an attitude
From me and you
To love the ones who don’t love you.
Now’s the day
To break the chains.
Gone are the wounds that never heal.
We can make this real.

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
What can we do
To bring all of the truth
And let out the banner unfurled?
What can we do
To live all of this truth
And carry the light to the world?
Yeah!

(Guitar solo)

(Chorus)
From a man who has loved through many years
To the one who will face uncertain fears,
We stand,
Brother to brother.
Arm-in-arm,
hand-in-hand,
We raise a flag across the land.
We will make a change…a
From a man who has loved through many years
To the one who will face uncertain fears,
We will make a change…a change,
Brother to brother.

“Now Not Never”
Written by Billy Smiley and Peter Andrew Fuler

(Chorus)
You’re not on your own.
We’re here together
Chasing down a dream.
It’s now not never.
Following our hearts
Through storms together.
Almost made it there.
It’s now not never.

This journey covers many miles of roads
And where it leads no one knows.
It’s got you drifting through the motions and fields of grain
It’s got you runnin’ back to yesterday…yesterday.

(Chorus)

I took this train at such an early age.
A one-way ticket outta here.
These roads are stirrin’ up the dust of the past.
Feels there’s no escaping yesterday…yesterday.

(Chorus)

When life puts you down on your back,
You say you’ll give up,
Don’t know where you’re at,
But when you got someone praying for you,
You never know what that prayer can do.

(Guitar solo)

(Chorus)

“Independence Day”
Written by Billy Smiley, Ric Florian, and Mark Gersmehl

Listen to our declaration.
Listen to our testament.
We've been given a revelation.
We are sure of where we stand.
So let the banner be unfurled.
We've found the light of hope in a dying world.

Hear the myth of modern man.
You're the god of your own land.
They call you weak a spineless fool.
Say you've given up your right to rule.
But I have been to the land of me.
And I know I was never free.
Freedom came when I gave it all away.

(Chorus)
Call it independence day!
Call it independence day!
Let the rockets blaze across the sky.
Raise the flag of faith up high.
Let the doubters call it what they may.
It's independence day!

The world can crown another hundred kings,
But I believe in a better dream.
They may call it slavery,
But the biggest chain I knew was me.
So the idols tumble down,
The walls of lies crumble to the ground.
I know where salvation can be found.
Let the idols tumble down!

(Chorus)

(Guitar solo)

(Bridge)
So join in the celebration.
It's the birth of a holy nation.
As people of light we are proud to say,

(Chorus)
Call it independence day!
Call it independence day!
Let the doubters call it what they may.
‘Cause we call it independence day!
Yeah! Oh!
It’s independence day!
Whoa…day!

It’s independence day!
It’s independence day!
Yeah!

“Lone Soldier”
Written by Billy Smiley, Jenny Jarnigan, and John Schlitt

Hello, father. Good to be back home.
Hello, father. ‘Cause I’ve been on my own.
And it’s been hard walking this by myself
This lonely road seems so cold.

Tell me, father. Is there something you can say?
Tell me, father. There’s gotta be a better way.
‘Cause dreams are clouds that seemed to slip on through.
Can’t find the key to this mystery.

(Chorus)
Don’t turn away.
Don’t toss the hope of a lone soldier
‘Cause it ain’t over
‘Till you find what is there for you.
Don’t think you’re done
‘Cause voices say that it’s over.
Just be bolder.
We all got a give gift to use.

Teach me, father. There’s so much I can learn.
Teach me, father. Walk me through every turn.
I’m oh so ready.
Please take me through this land.
This land of hope is where I stand.

(Chorus)
Don’t turn away.
Don’t toss the hope of a lone soldier
‘Cause it ain’t over
‘Till you find what is there for you.
Don’t look around just keep the way straight as an arrow.
The path is narrow, but it’s wide enough for you.

(Bridge)
Gotta let it go and trust how big it is.
The road is long and winds, and it seems it never ends.
Gotta let it go and trust how You will lead.
He gives us what we need.

(Chorus)
Don’t turn away.
Don’t toss the hope of a lone soldier
‘Cause it ain’t over
‘Till you find what is there for you.
Don’t think you’re done
‘Cause voices say that it’s over.
Just be bolder.
We all got a give gift to use.

(Chorus)
Don’t turn away.
Don’t toss the hope of a lone soldier
‘Cause it ain’t over
‘Till you find what He has for you.
Don’t look around just keep the way straight as an arrow.
The path is narrow, but it’s wide enough for you.

But it’s wide enough for you…for you.

“The Things We Do”
Written by Billy Smiley and John Ellis

You came along, and you broke my heart to pieces. Yes, you did!
You came along, and you broke my heart to pieces. Oh, yeah!

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

(Chorus)
It’s not the words that you say
But in the things that…things that you do. Oh, yeah!
It’s in the way that we live.
We all gotta give it to…give it to the things…the things we do.
Yeah!

You came along, and you broke my heart to pieces. Yes, you did! Uh-huh!
You came along, and you broke my heart to pieces. Oh, yeah!

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

(Chorus)

(Guitar solo)

(Chorus)

(Guitar solo)

“Old Guys Rule”
Written by Billy Smiley, John Schlitt, and Peter Andrew Fuler

Put the needle down, and feel the groove.
The sound is something, and it makes ya move.
You had a message that was coming through. Check it out.
It was all about the human race
And being part of what was taking place.
Making choices that we had to face.
Then is now.

(Chorus)
Old guys rule!
We ain’t fools!
Old guys rule!

You say it’s different, but it’s all the same.
End up playin’ all these stupid games.
Now you only have yourself to blame.
Who’s the fool?
Don’t let people try to put you down
‘Cause everything will always come around.
We saw it then like we see it now.
It’s so cruel!

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
Wisdom is nothing to laugh about.
Too often we throw it away.
The value of all this experience
Is something we all should embrace.

(Guitar solo)

(Chorus)

Don’t let anybody put you down
‘Cause everything will always come around.
We saw it then like we see it now.
Then is now.
Then is now.

(Chorus)
Old guys rule!
We ain’t fools!
Old guys rule!

Old guys rule!
Old guys rule!
We aren’t the fools!

“The Call”
Written by Billy Smiley and John Schlitt

Remember who you were
Before things start changing?
We color outside the lines.
Give a little more
Than all we are taking.
It’s a message of our times.
‘Cause time
Like a shifting wind
But the message never changes
How do we face this call?

(Chorus)
It’s a call for
Every heart that’s broken.
It’s a journey we all make.
It’s a call for
Every song unwritten.
It’s a stand that we must take. Yeah!

We are older,
But are we really wiser?
Is that not how it supposed to be?
As we look down the ages,
And while we turn the pages,
The callings there. It’s clear to see
How it’s meant to be. Yeah!

(Chorus)

(Chorus)

Every time I seize the day is one more time to see Your face. Yeah!
Every time I seize the day is one more time to see Your face. Whoa!
It’s the cal. Yeah.
It’s the call. Whoa.
It’s the call.

-------------------------

“My Offering”
Written by Billy Smiley and John Schlitt

We stand here all alone.
We see this world we know.
Another face just in the crowd.
Our dreams fall to the ground.
Been searching near and far.
Still looking for that shining star.
Your disappointments never end.
Where do we begin?
Begin.

(Chorus)
So take me,
Use me,
Mold me,
And make me
Into the one I should be.
And teach me,
Show me,
Lovingly change me
Into the one I can be.
This is my offering.

So hold your light for all to see.
This gift is there for you and me.
So come one, or come ye all.
At his feet we’ll fall.
Hear His call.

(Chorus)
So take me,
Use me,
Mold me,
And make me
Into the one I should be.
And teach me,
Show me,
Lovingly change me
Into the one I can be.

So take me,
Use me,
Mold me,
And make me
Into the one I can be.
This is my offering.

(Bridge)
So come now and see
The King of all Kings.
The Lord of our hearts
Has gone before us.

(Chorus)
My offering
My offering

“Beyond Belief”
Written by Bob Hartman

We're content to pitch our tent
When the glory's evident.
Seldom do we know the glory came and went.
Moving can seem dangerous
In this stranger's pilgrimage.
Knowing that you can't stand still, you cross the bridge.

(Chorus)
There's a higher place to go,
Beyond belief
Beyond belief
Where we reach the next plateau,
Beyond belief
Beyond belief
And from faith to faith we grow
Towards the center of the flow
Where He beckons us to go,
Beyond belief
Beyond belief

Leap of faith without a net
Makes us want to hedge our bet.
Waters never part until our feet get wet.
There's a deeper place to go
Where the road seems hard to hoe.
He who has begun this work won't let it go.
Let it go!

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
And it takes so long to see the change,
But we look around and it seems so strange.
We have come so far,
but the journey's long.
And we once were weak
But now we're strong!

(Guitar solo)

(Chorus)

-------------------------

“Bittersweet”
Written by Billy Smiley and Jason Fowler

With the will and the way
Hard to stay in humility.
What we want and we need.
Oh, it’s hard to see.
Hard to see.
Oh!

(Chorus)
It’s bittersweet,
The things we need
To make us all complete.
Oh!
It’s bittersweet,
The key we need
Surrender to the free.
Oh!
Yeah, it’s bittersweet,
The things we need
The truth that makes us whole.
Oh!
It’s bittersweet,
The key we need
The love that brings us home.
Yeah!

I’m lost in the maze.
Turn the page.
In doubt we go deeper. The fear
Keeps us here.
We draw near.
Gotta let it go.
Let it go!

(Chorus)

(Guitar solo)

(Bridge)
So open up your mind
And don’t believe the lie.
So open up your mind.
Open up your soul,
And don’t believe the lies.
Time to come back home!

(Guitar solo)

It’s bittersweet.
Yeah!
It’s bittersweet.
The things we need.
Yeah!
It’s bittersweet.
Surrender.
The truth that makes us.
The love that brings us home.
Brings us home.
Yeah!

“Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”
Written by Charles Wesley. Arrangement by Billy Smiley and Dave Ellefson

Christ the Lord is ris’n today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav’ns, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

(Guitar solo)

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the victory’s won, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave? Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save, Alleluia!

Gee, all those names in the credits of people I used to know. I feel so left out.
Maybe I missed my "calling", or maybe there never was a "calling". I'm so confused.
