Re: CPR
If they would just drop the names from the front ... The names make it look cheap. Just take off the names, take a group photo and place in on the back of the CD case with the track names or something and that would look 100 times better. All I can hope is that they are worrying about spending money on the music and not the album cover

Re: CPR
This might be a dumb question, but why are they even calling it "Back To The Rock II"? "Back To The Rock" was a Classic Petra project, and CPR are a new band (even though Greg, Johnny and Louie are involved). They should title the project something else, "Back To The Rock" was a Classic Petra thing, and Classic Petra is long gone. Just my opinion...

Re: CPR
They want to be Classic Petra, but couldn't use the name because "Petra" indicates Bob Hartman. So basically they want you to mentally replace "CPR" with "Classic Petra" by reusing the album name.
And this might be a dumb question, but why was it called Back To The Rock in the first place? Was it supposed to be like Back To The Street? Cuz that's about as unrelated as it gets.

Yes, they're trying to be Classic Petra. Which makes me think that "CPR" stands for "Classic Petra Redux".

Re: CPR
It was called "Back to the Rock" because that was one of only two new songs on the album. The other option was, of course, naming the album "Too Big to Fail" which has its own implied connotations.fiendik wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2017 11:48 pmThey want to be Classic Petra, but couldn't use the name because "Petra" indicates Bob Hartman. Re: CPR
And it wasn't even a new song, because it appears on Greg last solo album (God Only Knows - 2009) as The Rock.
And then done by someone who's never used a computer before...

Take me to the Rock... became Back to the Rock.... that's right! too funny.
Does anyone think GXV did the cover art himself? God Only Knows.

Re: CPR
Yeah, that cover needs some help. I do like the blood drop... that's kinda neat.
But the thinly veiled reference to Petra in the background... um... not cool.

Re: CPR
I don't mind the reference to Petra, because these are mostly Petra guys and mostly Petra songs. John Schlitts Petra band in the 90s had only two legit Petra members, none of which were Bob, and they covered Petra songs and got to call themselves Petra.
