The more I listen to the samples the more I like them. I am actually getting excited about this project. It is definitely produced with a different flavor compared to BTTR 1, but still very cool. I also will miss Mark but am excited to see Ronny involved in a Petra related project after so many years. I also liked Kirk's work on the first 4 Greg solo albums, and I want to see what he brings. I have seen video of Kirk live in his early days with KINGS X and he sounded up to par with Ty Tabor, and that is a huge statement.

Found the samples. I really liked the over all sound of Judas Kiss. My beef with the song has always been that I wish there would be more to the drumming. No need to keep it so simple, IMO. The rest didn't do anything for me. If you're not going to bring a new sound to the table, new arrangements, new vibe; what;s the point?

Judas Kiss sounds too happy to me. It always has. While I liked the original version back in the day, I too think it could be heavier, darker on the verses...let the music carry the message. Someone needs to cover it this way.

Imagine if a heavier, darker version of "Judas' Kiss" was re-recorded back in 2003 and featured as a bonus track on the Jekyll & Hyde album. Now that would made a lot of fans happy, and it would have added another few minutes to an extremely short record. But I digress…

Speaking of CPR's "Judas' Kiss," out of curiosity, I ran their new opening backmasked message through a reverse playing app on my phone. If you couldn't tell, it's different than the original.

That's a fairly well-known phenomenon, that the more you're exposed to something, the more you will prefer it. I've read stories of studio heads who would avoid this by only listening to a demo tape once, and if they weren't immediately hooked, they would pitch it in the trash and move on to the next one.

That says a lot considering CPR has been listening to these unreleased tracks for almost a year now.

Gracious that site. They are going to have to fix it to work with Google results and phones, tablets, etc.

Got my digital copy one hour after John posted the link without any problems. My phone is a Galaxy S5 and downloaded and extracted the zip files easily without extra apps. Enjoying the music in my car all day. The only thing I wish they did was record versions of Stand Up and Without Him We Can Do Nothing, otherwise they included the songs I wanted.

Musical details that could be improved would be more guitars upfront in thr mix, more prominent snare drum on Dream On, more clarity and distinction to Ronny's bass lines and a more complete piano melody on For Annie.

I am happy still that they did this project. I always wanted to hear powerful versions of Beat The System, It Is Finished, Judas Kiss and Praise Ye The Lord and now I got them.

I too would have preferred Mark and Bob on the record, but at this point with this "band" I think it's a take what you can get situation. It's worth the whole thing just to have Ronnie affiliated with the group again. The same could probably be said for the other alumni just as well. I think anything that brings these guys together is a treat for the fans. I would love if John slick could somehow be involved in a projects.

One things for certain Greg's voice never fails to come through.

Today I Got my Mp3 audio downloaded. I was so happy but after listening the álbum.....I expected something more different....heavier, songs.. I think that The Coloring song is unnecesary, and I expected to find Without Him, Blinded eyes or Speak to the sky.... I would like a heavier version of Dream on....
Anyway. I 'm not disappointed but I thought it wpuld be more like Back to the Rock I sound.

A camel eating a guitar?

I find it cool that Greg B and Cristian are on the album. It really is a merger of several different eras of Petra.

One thing that you can't deny this album is band driven. It's a refreshing alternative to the heavier production driven records of the past.
