The Petra Zone

Last night, I had a dream, that J Schlitt was in town. He was taking a cassette tape of demos around, to get feedback from young kids. He was wearing lots of chains and had bell bottoms on. We went to a small Mexican church, with lava lamps, swirling lights in a restaurant. I have to quit eating before I go to bed.

That's a pretty wild dream.

I had a dream that I broke into Greg's home and got a hold of his 10 unreleased albums off his computer. The dream ended just as Greg began singing the words, "Everytime I look in the mirror..."

I had a dream Bob put a band together with Greg’s solo band and Morgan Cryer on vocals. They named their band Classic Xavier, did a cover of the entire “River is Rising” Cd, and named it “Back to the Exodus,” with a cover of “Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi, an original song by Morgan, and the Petra song “Back to the Street,” only the word “Exodus” replaced “Street” in the title and chorus.

This is from a few years ago, true, but I had a dream last night where I was skimming through radio stations and there was a special thing on the radio that was playing only Petra songs for like 5 hours and then I went to another station that was playing Stand. It was very realistic.

I think I had a dream where I went to a petra concert with the youth group in Backstage Pass, the night I watched it. I have had some really wacky dreams like that one before though, too. Like where Ozzy was coming up to me and my mom and sister because the plane Randy was in crashed in the airport and we watched it. I can't remember if he was crying or not. And then Bret Michaels and Jon Bon Jovi were there too wearing baseball outfits.

I once had a dream where for some inexplicable reason, I was on stage with the band filling in for Bob Hartman. Only I can't play anywhere near as well as Bob Hartman in real life, so of course I kept screwing up, and John Schlitt was giving me the stink eye and angrily telling me to get it right.
