Murfreesboro, TN • Storyteller Tour

Post by dihigo » Fri Oct 20, 2017 10:16 pm

After reading Jonathan’s account of the Storyteller Tour in St. Joseph, Michigan, I can’t say my experience in Murfreesboro, TN was much different. They played virtually the same set list, except they went so long, they decided to cut “The River Will Flow” and “Never Been Any Reason.”

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by their harmonies and was extremely impressed with John Schlitt’s vocal ability as the last time I saw him in concert was with Petra on Halloween night in 1992 twenty-five years ago! Here are a few photos.

Well naturally the set list would be the same. They're not going to change a set for each venue.

How long was the show?

Funny that you say John sounded just as good as in 1992... in fact, he had a cold all of last week, and according to him sounded very raspy. According to Billy, he sounded like Rod Stewart!

Yes, John did sound raspy! It sounded cool though. A Rod Stewart comparison was made early during the show which, sans the opening act, probably went 2+ hours. Had it been a younger crowd, they could have gone on & on; however, there were a few 2nd generation Petheads that were falling asleep on the front row, my kiddo included.
