Remix Petra classics???

Post by PetraFan007 » Tue Mar 23, 2004 12:24 pm

You know what would be really awesome? If someone could remix Petra classics, especially stuff done between Never Say Die and Beat the System. Everybody knows the guitars were either mixed to low, or there just wasn't enough MEAT to them, if you know what I mean. It didn't have much of that "heavy metal" sound to it. If you listen to "Rock Block" or "Power Praise", the medley tracks show you previews of what those Petra tracks would sound like if they were remixed. I know there are some really talented people on here. If I could figure how to do it, I'd do it to. I'd really like to hear a heavy metal sounding "ADONAI" with the heavier sounding guitar, or "BEMA SEAT" with that sound too. Anyone else agree?

Meat, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, so the guitars didn`t have enough meat? LOLOL, yeah yeah, I know what you mean, but still sounds funny for me.

And I`m still recovering from this mean war from double take so for now I won`t be agree to remix anything LOL.

My band may cover "Somebody's Gonna Praise His Name" acoustically.

Cool, but I'm dead serious. Ask anyone and they'll tell ya on "Rock Block" with that added guitar, it sounds AWESOME! I'd pay to see those albums remixed with heavier guitar, REAL DRUMS, and lower the keyboard JUST A BIT.

Alright, can I have some INTELLIGENT responses now? lol

Um, Mat Gauthier, you know how to record Petra songs, do you think you could edit the tracks of, say, any of the rock songs from 1981-1986...maybe like ADONAI, BEMA SEAT, or ANGEL OF LIGHT, and make the guitar like---THICKER (like the guitar sound BARNABAS uses on their album that came out the same year and sounded much more like REAL ROCK: Approaching Light Speed) and put real live drums in it. If I heard that, I'd go nuts!!!
