I would if I could Artur, but Indiana is quite a long way from me. :)

I'm sure someone will record it.

Information?

Post by winterlens » Sat May 01, 2004 6:38 pm

Is there any good information on this, e.g. ticket prices, et c.? I'll make the trip (it falls right at the end of finals week for me, and all I'll have to do is grade exams by Monday) and hopefully grab some pictures. No video recorder, unfortunately. :(

The REAL question

Post by Kirkman » Tue May 04, 2004 12:40 am

Will they (the original incarnation) finally play "Lucas McGraw" live for the first time in years?

For the MOST up-to-date info on concerts, make sure to go to http://www.johnwschlitt.com/Tour.htm

I surf the net in a variety of places in order to get as much info as possible, in addition to promoters supplying me with information - so please rely on jws.com for the most current schedule.

In next month's newsletter, I'll be putting a bit more info in about this show, but to fill you in a little for now, here's what Bill Glover sent to me:
Yes it is true! June 12th, that's a "Saturday night for fighting", the devil that is!

Any way, John DeGroff, Bob Hartman, Greg Hough, and myself; the four founding members of Petra, will perform in concert, with present day Petra!

That's right! Both bands, one night only!

Yes, the Petra Reuion concert will be staged at 8 pm, Saturday night, June 12th, at the Oak Hill Campgrounds & Retreat Center, in Angola, Indiana! (That's just north of Ft. Wayne about a 1/2 hour)!

Petra was "born" in Ft. Wayne back in 1972!

We will be performing songs off the 1st Petra album, including "Backsliden Blues, "Get Back To The Bible", "Walking In The Light", and an early Petra "fav" in-concert song, "Rockin On With Jesus", to name a few!

Yes, Sue! Please help us spread the word to every "pethead" you know!
I'll have to check the travel distance... I'd sure love to see this show.

 THANK YOU GOD!!! This about floored me when I read it. Time to come out of lurking, this is so absolutely cool!!!! THis is a dream come true! A Petra pilgrimage is in order from Kansas to Indiana is in order for this.

Will it just be a short part of a festival? Or will it be a full concert length thing?

I wouldn't miss this for the world. PLEASE SOMEONE RECORD THIS!!! My list of most important possessions would go:

1. Bible
2. Reunion Concert
3. CITAS

Does INPOP know?

Post by superfly » Fri May 07, 2004 6:33 am

Is there anyway to see if INPOP is aware of this concert? Since many of it's members seem to be PETRA fans, I wonder if they would be willing to make a more professional recording of it. Either way, something like this...basically a once-in-a-lifetime event, needs to archived somehow.

This is a must video! The Petheads have spoken again. We spoke to get a CD like J & H and now we have an awesome CD. We rise again and are asking for this event to be recorded. Imagine, "Walkin' in the Light" and "Stand" on the same stage. I will try to be there. Any fellow Petheads from South-West Ontario, Canada thinking of a road trip?

Man, I wish I could make it....I'll start looking into it, but for me it'd be close to impossible with the distance and timing. Still though, two Petras on one stage...tempting.
