Louie Weaver Ministries International

Post by String » Mon Nov 17, 2003 2:05 pm

Looks like the other post I made made it between servers.

Just to let you know that Louie Weaver Ministries International is on the web at http://www.louieweaverministries.org . The Weavers and Kevin Brandow (Former guitarist for Petra and fellow Viking fan) have been working with me to get this site active. Kevin is doing the hosting and has some web services he is available for. Check out his site at http://www.anerdandageek.com .

All pages have been uploaded so there should be no "Page not found" type of errors. Pardon the crudity, as this is in it's infancy stage. I do have some interactive things that you can check out including a Guestmap, the ability to sign up for a mail list, discussion board, etc.

Check it out and give me any feedback including suggestions for improvements, ideas, etc. I will forward them to Louie and Penny for their approval.

Lots of work ahead still including an online way to make donations, a mission statement, pictures, calendars, etc.

God bless!!

An update....

Post by String » Wed Nov 19, 2003 3:11 am

Just a quick update on Louie Weaver Ministries International's website at http://www.louieweaverministries.org ......

All pages have been uploaded. I am now waiting on Penny or Louie to get back on me with feedback. I am also waiting on a mission statement and various other pieces of information.

The Prayer Warriors mailing list is up and waiting for subscribers. I think we have one about this time. I also have created a chat room, discussion board, FAQ, etc. I don't know how much involvement the Weavers will have initially, but I will try to coax them along as much as I can. Penny was initially pretty big on the Prayer Warriors thing and I think she still is. Sounds like they've been keeping busy with the launching of this ministry.

Again, please be patient with the design and content of this site. As the webmaster, I would like to keep this site as up-to-date as much as possible. A lot of that is waiting for info for the Weavers. They, like John Schlitt, are not very web savvy and I need to know the questions to ask and info to pass on to them.

Always the question: How can we design and place content on a site so that people will come back again and again?

Well, keep checking back. As I get feedback from the Weavers and the visitors of this site, it will progress.

God bless and hope to see you at http://www.louieweaverministries.org .

Another mini-update

Post by String » Fri Nov 21, 2003 1:53 pm

Just a mini-update:

1) A guestbook has been created. Go say "Hi!" to the Weavers and give them a word of encouragement.

2) We've had about 150 visitors to the page (With no promotion except the posting I have done here.). The Weavers thank the Pethead for their moral support and the individuals (You know who you are.) that have been involved in the ministry so far.

3) I believe the Prayer Partners mailing list is around 10 people now. Again, not bad for being public for not even a week and very little promotion. I told the Weavers they better start thinking about that newsletter now. The cat is out of the bag!!

Well, that is all for now, unless I hear from the Weaver camp in the next day or so.

God bless and thanks for your support so far.
