Okay, we haven't done this for awhile, and I'm in a silly mood and up for some nonsense, so help me out. We need to get a Christmas story going. :D

It was Christmas Eve and the Schlitt family had just settled down for the night when they heard a loud noise on their roof. Startled, they ran to see what was going on. John was muttering, "I was sound asleep so this had better be good..."

It was their stupid dog barking in the backyard, and it wouldn't shut up so John put it in the garage and then he couldn't get back to sleep. Oh wait... sorry, that's how MY evening's going.

Now back to your regularly scheduled story...

......because the dog started howling some tune. John get's up all excited and listens to the dog and says: "Man, that's gonna make a great song!"
so he gets on the phone to call Bob.......Bob was still up.......and so John puts the phone close to the garage for Bob to hear the dog howl this cool tune. After listening for a while, Bob said........

Well, since I'm up anyway, might as well get this song written. Never thought I'd get a song idea from a dog though. :D

So Bob makes a pot of coffee and sits down at his desk pen in hand to write and the phone rings again..........

It's John on the other phone. Bob says "What is it this time?" John says "Scratch that idea, my dog wants credit on the album and his own record deal."

That Darn Dog...

The dog was also demanding lifetime back stage passes to Petra concerts, his own room on the bus and a cut of all future royalities.

So they decided to buy him a ticket to an Amy Grant concert as punishment.

Okay, I know, that's bad. I'm very tired, I need to take a nap. :D

Well, what they didn't know, was that the dog secretly LOVED Amy Grant and been yearning to go to one of her concerts, but he couldn't let on, because - well, after all, he was John Schlitt's dog.
So since he wasn't getting his demands fullfilled, he called Amy up, told her he'd be there and if they could colloborate on some music, and talk about future management........

Ok, I'm sorry

Amy quickly responded to the dog by saying "Any contract I sign to do a duet has to include at leat a 5 year marriage contract, or an agreement to be real close Friends if you know what I mean."

Okay, Bakers, that was going overboard. You're lucky I don't edit that message.

...well, the thing is - JOHN overheard the dog talking to Amy on the phone, so he cut the dog's phone privileges. But since it was Christmas time, he felt really bad for being so upset with the dog, after all the dog just was singing out of the joy of his heart, so he promised the dog that he could sing a duet with him sometime on a record deal - but ONLY if he'd let him SLEEP and be quiet for the rest of the nite....
