Newsboys+Michael Tait = WIN!!!

I just downloaded the "Born Again" single off of Amazon, and it sounds great! It reminds me alot of the first Tait disc, but with that Newsboys punch. This is a good match. Kinda reminds me of another legendary Christian band who parted ways with their singer a few decades ago and brought in a guy named John Schlitt who completely transformed their sound for a new generation! Totally awesome!

So is Tait singing on the album? From what I understand, Peter Fuller was still going to be the one singing on the albums and Tait was handling the lead in concerts.

Tait is singing on the album...Peter stepped back to handle songwriting and production duties.

I was under the impression that Michael was a "live only" gig myself until I heard this single. I couldn't be happier. I've really missed him since Tait went on hiatus. There first disc was great, but the second one was not as good, IMO. The Newsboys thing really compliments his voice very well. Peter will be missed, no doubt, but I think they made a very good choice. Maybe even traded up (no disrespect to Peter, he's great. Michael Tait is just one of the best singers I've ever heard!).
