The Petra Zone

First, to clarify, I am not associated with Theocracy in any way...just a huge fan! I have always been a huge fan of Petra and see similar elements in Theocracy, musically and lyrically, that drew me to Petra -- solid, hard-rocking musicianship; soaring harmonies; and theologically sound and thoughtful lyrics.

For those of you not familiar with this band, they are a power metal (think Symphony X, Savatage, Sonata Arctica, Edguy) band from Athens, GA with a progressive/epic edge to their music. Imagine mixing a few parts Iron Maiden, Kansas, Queen, Dream Theater and the aforementioned power metal bands and shake really well, and that's Theocracy.

Their third album, "As the World Bleeds" has just been released, and it is a metal monster!
