Saint & Sacred Warrior

Post by Disciple » Thu Nov 08, 2012 9:34 pm

Are there any fans of these bands here? If so, I'd really appreciate any recommendations.

Songs I've gotten recently from reviews on Angelic Warlord --

Letter 7 -- Fear No Evil, First Love, OCS, Salt Of The Earth.
Saint -- Star Pilot, Holy Rollin, In The Battle, Here We Are
Audiovision -- The Way, We Are Not Alone
Balance Of Power -- One Voice
Bride -- Some Things Never Change
Affector -- New Jerusalem
Sacred Warrior -- Master's Command, Remember Me, Fire From Heaven, Obsessions

I like Bride. They always make it sound like their first three albums were legendary (Show No Mercy, Live To Die, Silence Is Madness). If you like their style, you might want to get the recent remastered re-releases of these three albums. Retroactive Records released those in 2011.

I'm much more into the later stuff. I especially like Scarecrow Messiah (1994) and the couple of albums they did after that in the second half of the 90s (Drop-1995, The Jesus Experience-1997, Oddities-1998). Also Snakes In The Playground (1992) is a classic. That is the album they've always tried to live up to. The song you mention is actually off of this album.
