Well...whether you like them or not, those sales are what it takes to be in the top of the top200. That is how fragmented the market is now. There are people selling hundreds of thousands of records, but the music isn't really music, and it sure as heck isn't timeless.

Thank you Napster.

Same goes for radio also; music radio is dead and gone. I saw a newspaper article in The Dallas Morning News saying that 88% of the local radio stations now in DFW are talk only format, and the highest rated local radio station is TheTicket 1310 AM which as a AM station is unheard of in post 1970 radio days, and their listenership is about 35% of what the highest rated DFW radio station was in 2000 which was a country music station 96.3.

Shouldn't that makes it easier for us to bring Petra into the TOP 100? And if it's only for one week? :-)

The progressive destruction of America is driving talk radio. It's also a place to get pg entertainment that isn't slanted to the left.

This is what happens when people are used to stealing their music. You want to talk entitlement? (this is for the conservative radio listeners) How bout people that think they are entitled to artists work!

Welcome to liberal america. We've taught people that it's unfair that people with money have stuff and they don't. When you play Santa Claus and give them this, that, and the other, and foster the entitlement mentality, why shouldn't they get music also? It's not fair that only those who can afford it have music.
It's a different world then the one I grew up in, and I'm only crossing 40.

I know plenty of "conservatives" that think stealing music is A-OK. Besides, music can still be free- if you like what is playing on the radio.

If we had conservative business practices, conservative enforcement of conservative laws, and people obeying those laws, then we wouldn't be talking about music being stolen as often.

Matthew RJ wrote:You're right because no conservative does anything crooked.

The key to Brent's quote was people obeying laws, which in turn could be a liberal or conservative. If everyone are obeying the laws than nothing would be done in a crooked manner.
