It's not bad, but kind of has that Michael Sweet solo album kind of sound rather than a Stryper kind of sound.

I like it; it seems to be just a continuation of "Murder By Pride". The piano/keys come out of nowhere on the bridge and seem out of place. Anybody know the release date for their new album?

Did you post something else in this topic? I looked at the mod logs and it shows the last time anything was deleted was on March 4th.

Yes, I replied to this topic, but I only said that I thought it sounded good so it was not much text that disappeared.

I like Blackend the best out of the 2 new ones. Thoughts on the album as a whole?

The vocals are a bit forward in the mix to me. I like the classic mix, where the vocalist is surrounded by guitars, like J&H. THAT is a good rock mix. I like the guitars on this record. Just wish I could hear more of 'em.

I agree. I listened through all the samples on Itunes, and the harmonies sound a bit loud, and almost over the top on the processing. I like the guitar sound, and the drums are nice. It certainly sounds better than I was expecting. I like that it takes all the songs and gives them a fairly uniform sound. Most of the comments on Itunes were positive. One guy said they should have spent some money on mastering, and I can see his point. I was feeling that at times, but overall I give it a thumbs up. Sounds better to me than MBP for sure, and probably anything else they've done since reuniting.

Ok....I am going to have to eat a little black bird. I listened to this record REALLY loud, and the mix works. All of the songs were played all the way through and I like what they have done to a few songs. Again, I am a sucker for guitars. They spiced up some of the bass lines too.

I got it and I like for the most part the remixes, but it does seem a little too polish for my taste; the originals were raw and in your face. Something that caught my eye was only using the first three albums for this song collection; I'm wondering if IGWT & ATL will be done in the same manner in the future. BTW even though the lyrical content is not really that good I've always thought Against The Law was their best offering. What do you all think?

from the interviews about the album i am guessing that the first three sound the worst, sweet jokingly mentions how thin his voice sounds annd points out the lack of a low end in sound. against the law and reborn are my favorites, but i agree with exe, stryper is not known for deep thoughtful lyrics.

The cymbals on this album are huge and awesome, Robert really brings out the lost art of the cymbals; today's music(including as far back as the 90's) have done away with the cymbals having an important say in what the listener hears from the song.
