NEW KING JAMES

It's available and its really good. You can feel Rex's guitar work throughout; its got a southern rock feel to it.

I have been listening to it for a couple of weeks. The first two tracks are what I listen to in the shower. Gets me goin. I wish they had someone like a...oh, John Schlitt singing. The vocals don't match the tough sounding guitars in the first tune.

I love "Black Stone Woman" - great song. Really strong album from start to finish.

I listened to a track on my way home tonight, it was right up my alley. I just don't remember which track it was...looking forward to the rest now.

Maximus by King James on Spotify.

Oy, the vocals.

Never liked the vocals too much either. Rex is a very talented guitar player. But very predictable too.

I saw a Whitecross show a few days ago, and all members from King James and Whitecross are the same, except for the vocalists.
Whitecross has Scott Wenzel as lead vocalist. I have no idea why Rex are doing King James stuff when he could go with Scott and Whitecross... I would like to have a new Whitecross album...

I taped the whole show here in Norway, and some clips can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/user/petrafiles

There were around 350 people at the show!

Singer is a nice guy. Because he is such a nice guy, his vocals just don't work with aggressive music for me. Too bad that didn't work out with Louie/Viktor.

King James originally had Robert and Tim from Stryper. It would have been cool to see that version of KJ.

If I could have created a super old-fart band to record, I would have had Kerry Livgren to write, Bob play rhythm and Rex on lead.

I know the Whitecross thing has been brewing since they rerecorded 1987; but it just doesn't seem to want to get off the ground. I do know one reason why King James got done was because of Jimi Bennett's financial ability, so I'm sure that probably has played some factor in it.

It makes financial sense for all involved. Neither band can sustain itself. One band with two singers has a better shot.
