I thought this was interesting...

Also, there's a story on this website about a 25th anniversary reissue of "Last Train" by Holy Soldier...

Interesting stuff. It has certainly been quite a while since I saw them the last time. I hardly recognized anyone on the picture.

Interesting to see how Rex Carrol is going to sound playing Tony's stuff. He seemed to always sound roughly the same and use the same techniques. Wonder if he is going to change his approach this time. Probably not.

My impression of Rex Carrol is that he's extremely technically proficient but not very creative.

Rex has always been my favorite guitarist. This album is no exception. I like what he did with Guardians songs especially the harmonized leads on “Never gonna say goodbye”. Good stuff...

I gave this a listen, and then listened to Guardians new album. I like what they did musically. It could have been even better if they had Rex and Tony playing each others stuff and trading off. Sonically I was a little disappointed. Guardian's new album sounds much better. I don't notice any drop off in quality between the new one, and ones they did when they were on a label.
