This year is off to a crap start. A long-time friend I have mixed and tech'd for died of cancer on the 3rd, and my wife's skin cancer is back. Please keep the Ripley and Handy families in your prayers.

I'm sorry about that.

My own wife has been struggling through her own bout of cancer for the past year, so I know what you mean when you say that it sucks. Through it all, I know God has promised that every one of us will be healed, and I know that for some people, that promise won't be fulfilled until they stand face to face with the Almighty. And while I'm grateful for that promise, and I have complete faith that God will deliver, it doesn't stop me from wishing for healing now.

Man you guys have been going through a great deal, praying for ya'll.

That's just life. Sometimes things are good, sometimes they're not so good. In Captured in Time and Space, Greg Volz said, "I know you got tribulation. You live in the world, the scripture says, 'Honey, sorry, you have tribulation.' But Jesus says, 'Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world, and if I live in you, you are going to overcome the world!'"

Cancer got another one, guitarist David Creech. Played with lots of southern gospel bands and Branson shows.
