That's why we love brent. Not only does he speak his mind, but he usually provides biblical backing for a stance and gives us an "insiders" glimpse into the industry (no offence to being labelled an insider Brent )Jan wrote:Brent, would you please get real, say what you mean and stop sugar coating everything.
More concerned about the allegations of his character than I am his health. Many youth in my day loved his music, did skits to it and used it as their form of worship.

I know some people can't handle Brent, but the guy does give good reasoning behind his opinions. We have talked on the phone many times, he is a really cool guy and has some great stories. I look forward to meeting the guy some day.

Re: Carman
I usually agree with Brent on principle. I don't always agree with the blunt way he expresses himself but that is his personality. Given a choice, I'd much rather deal with someone who will speak their mind than I would a backstabber. I don't question his sincerity...And I mean that as a compliment.

Re: Carman
I must admit it is suspicious!!! Cancer free just in time for his album to come out and the tour across America is starting in a couple of months. He might just be a good con man. I have noticed there are no pics of him in the hospital or bald or anything like that, most people would show pics of themselves going through it. Shame on him if he did lie to people. Like I said in an earlier post, God will even the score in his time.

Re: Carman
So in a couple weeks he went from being scared to cancer free? Ridiculous. No, I do not believe him. Yes, a lot of people will, and that makes me sad:(

Re: Carman
I don't want to doubt. I think I am more realistic in thinking miracles are not the norm. I am suspicious of people claiming supernatural events multiple times in their lives.
It's really hard to believe when I have seen what I have, experienced so many frauds. Too many really Godly people who REALLY do something for God on huge scale and are more impacting than I are dying of lessor things. They are suffering and getting nothing from God that looks like a supernatural healing. My family members have died from cancer. It surrounds me. Odds are I will go that way, according to doctors. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope he is really cancer free....the legit way.

Re: Carman
So my wife who knows this stuff tells me that multiple myeloma is treated with steroids and stuff that is not traditional chemo therapy, so he wouldn't have lost his hair, he would have just suffered a lot of bone pain. She did say that it doesn't just go away for good like it has... that would be a miracle because there is usually relapses. So I am going to try hard to give the benefit of the doubt, and thank God that he is healed by miracle (not the Benny Hinn type).

Re: Carman
Tom Brokaw was diagnosed with this rare disease.

Multiple myeloma is not a curable cancer and treatments for the disease typically aim to achieve at least a partial remission for patients.

D, did your wife read the posts or watch his videos? What does she think about the treatment he received. He mentioned that he had chemo, didn't he?
