They're fake live recordings. I'm not even sure Trunks Arena exists. The audience is pasted in. Re: Petra Compete Tour list - help add missing dates.
I think the Servant/Petra tour ended in early April, 1982. It was only a three month tour.
So everything from April 16, 1982 should probably be labeled as Never Say Die tour. Maybe you can add this heading.

I remember an Amarillo,Tx. show being advertised for the On Fire tour, don't remember the date but I would guess around the time of the OKlahoma City concert. Remember Josh Mcdowell was suppose to be there.

Yeah, this is not uncommon. Live albums are not really live. They never have been. Bands recut or overdub once they get back to the studio. So why not just record there to begin with and add the crowd? It is a lot cheaper.
Van Halen did Right Here Right Now, the band sucked, so they recut it all back in the studio. That is the only way they could have sounded consistent having multiple sound systems in multiple venues, with varying crowds....OVER THE SPAN OF THREE YEARS. Come on.

What was the actual date Petra announced their Retirement? May 18th 2005?

They announced it at the Balinger Rock Fest, Germany on April 16th 2005 for sure, but I'm not sure if that was the first time. It was the third show in a short European tour, so they might've already mentioned something at the April 14th show in Denmark, or the April 15th show in Bad Hersfeld, Germany.Dan wrote:What was the actual date Petra announced their Retirement? Re: Petra Compete Tour list - help add missing dates.
I just found out that the Oct 12, 2005 – Ottawa, ON, Dominion Chalmers United Church show during the farewell tour never really happened. Bob missed the flight. They did Jekyll & Hyde with some guitarist, then John did q&a with the fans. Tickets were valid for the following night in Kingston ON.
The Ottawa date has been edited.

Is that the show that Greg Bailey played lead guitar on a few numbers when Bob couldn't be there? That almost has to be it ...trodLAN wrote:I just found out that the Oct 12, 2005 – Ottawa, ON, Dominion Chalmers United Church show during the farewell tour never really happened. Saw the We Need Jesus tour in November 1997 at Sunshine Community Church in Grand Rapids, MI. Saw what was billed as the "Greatest Hits Tour" there too (Must have been 2000) with the God Fixation lineup.
