I went through his other videos too. They are fantastic! So many lost Petra gems from the 70s. Thanks!

AI Singers

So AI has now reached the point where songs can be made using AI simulated vocals of popular singers.
So, when will someone do GXV singing Back to the Street?

Re: The compilation we didn't know we needed...

Not exactly “career spanning”. One song after 1997. Could have at least paid lip service to the post-Bob era with a couple of songs.

Re: New Material

That’s my guess too. Or he’s talking about their involvement in that Beyond Belief movie. Or both.

Re: TUOSS new project soon!

Yeah I was kinda surprised that all of their cover singles from the past few years were on it. So basically it’s an EP of new songs with bonus tracks. It’s good though.

The biggest “Greg” song for me on that album is You Are I Am.

Greg Hough posted on FB that this was a one-off and that it would be the final time the originals would play together.

Re: Remastered albums

Does the new version of This Means War fix the cut off drum intro for He Came He Saw He Conquered? The cassette has four snare hits but the original CD has like 2.5 snare hits.

Re: Captured In Time & Space DVD

At one point I made a custom extended cut using the CD, cassette and video versions. CD is by far the most hacked up but best sound quality. The non-CD tracks are as follows: 01 Intro (cassette) 09 Speak to the Sky (cassette) 10 John intros Hollow Eyes (cassette) 18 John's Solo (cassette) 20 The Rac...

Collaborations Outside of Petra

Using mostly information I found on Petraspective I made up a list of (I hope) every time two members of Petra are featured on a song outside of Petra. If this is incomplete, I'm sure p-freak will chime in, but here's what I was able to come up with. 1986 - Greg X Volz - The River Is Rising Joyous G...

Re: 1979 Petra Live Audio Miscellaneous

Praise Ye the Lord was an old "e" band song that Greg brought to Petra. Obviously they started playing it live before they recorded it. A few other NSD songs were also from "e" band, like The Coloring Song and Without Him We Can Do Nothing. Killing My Old Man was originally recorded by Petra for Com...

As for Rez, I definitely hear Grace Slick in Wendy's vocals, while Glenn Kaiser's voice is hard to compare. Maybe Joe Cocker, but Glenn is much better in my opinion.
Glenn Kaiser = Bob Seger. Listen to Hollywood Nights and tell me you can't hear Glenn Kaiser.
