We need to let them retire in peace! An EP usually refers to 'Extended Play' which means the edits are limited. However, PETRA has decided to move on and we need to respect that. Even an EP needs backing by a label and the 'industry' and, at the moment, that backing just isn't there.

If you were a member of PETRA anytime between 1999 and now, you absolutely would have needed a side job to survive! Why do think the turnover of band members was so high? At least John is able to make furniture...something he is truly gifted at. Lord knows what Pete Orta is doing now. Trent, Bryce, ...

Is Anyone REALLY surprised?

The fact that Petra's website has not been touched (up-dated) in a year or the average of 2 gigs a month should have given anyone a pretty good indication that all good things must come to an end. These guys have to eat! Keep in mind, too, that Wayne Saboa is the WORST manager in the history of man....

When Bob Hartman decided to get involved again (touring), he basically 'cleaned house' and consolidated everything into a foursome. I know John had doubts about that originally because Petra has always been '5.' I agree PETRA needs keys live! It's an integral part of their sound. I believe one of th...

Who are PETRA supposed to be attracting? ONLY christians? That's an absolute joke if you believe in the 'Great Commission' that Jesus challenged all of us in! I think whatever music style it takes to reach the lost....go for it! Why do think so many churches are operating in the 'Seeker Sensitive' f...

Shell, that's so true! Steve Perry had awesome hair....especially during the 'Raised on Radio' tour! Johnny's was the longest I ever saw it during 'Wake Up Call.' Some guys are just made for long hair!

CD Collection

I wouldn't base buying an album from one of the guys by how long they were actually with Petra. The music speaks for itself. I would highly recommend Trent's music to anyone. It's only $10 at GoldUSA. How's that for a bargain?!

Favorite CD's

BriGuyPEI...if you like those albums you mentioned, you would love Trent Thomason's 'Hold Out Your Hands.' His new one is even better but it's not out yet.

No one has answered the question yet. A friend of mine landed a copy of some of the pre-released material and it's very good.

His website is up and running now I've noticed.
